won our first ever World Cup game, a proud day for me after enduring the dark ages of Canadian men's football during the 90s and 2000s. Easily the best team we have ever fielded.

its fans fault its got to this stage mate, we had mass protests when they announced the super league same should and still needs to happen over this shit, it's destroying the game

  • Seems like the USA have inadvertently woken Belgium up ha. An outcome most can get behind.

great game, out on their feet Egypt

Far better than many of us expected. Egypt didn't get up there much but by the fuck they were efficient when they did!

Honestly thought the Argies would win by 2 or 3 (and should I suppose with the missed pen). I think Argentina turned up thinking they'd win by 2 or 3 without having to put in too much effort.

Was it Neville or Keane who labelled them 'street fighters'? Could take them further. Be great for us to knock 'em out. Not in the Azteca I take it? That would be the most apt exorcism I could think of.

The thing with this WC is how many of the big nations have fallen into the 'not what they were' category. Brazil, Germany, Portugal, Croatia, Netherlands, arguably even Argentina though they keep scraping through.

Maybe it is our time, though France will have their say

if we beat Norway in Miami, the semi will be Atlanta

with the US getting knocked out along with Portugal (Ronaldo) ticket prices for the quarter final in LA went from $3,000 to $1,200 overnight

Another drop if around 90% required.

🤣 Aye reet.

Hyperbole but you know what I mean, they're so reliant on him to pull them out of the shit

Might need to rethink that "good watch" comment

haha, that was certainly a borefest

Agree on that one pal. They do have a good number of excellent players though. Simeone has half a dozen of his dark art demons there doesn't he?

definitely something off about the Argentina V Egpyt match

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DahROAhAtze/

then you see that France v Morroco is 100% Argentina officials which seems off as well

https://www.instagram.com/reels/DahhVHbB49j/

and now the conspiracy theorists are out in force

https://www.instagram.com/p/DahSSgWiU64

not convinced about that like, but after FIFA did what they did with the US red card, it makes you think....

am definitely putting money on a French red card

The whole tournament is one big farce

Bent as fuck all of if

First one does show clear inconsistencies.

Last one, with its zionist bollocks- perhaps they should look at the decision by FIFA to award the world cup to Qatar.

Dear me, what a fucking mess. Its grim (

aye but they don't help themselves with their actions and it's no wonder folk start thinking it's bent

they've always been bent off the field

now they've shown they're bent on it

FIFA often put officials from the same country together as I think the logic is they're familiar with each other so have formed stronger working relationships

I might stull be putting a few quid on Moroccco though, just in case

It's obviously got fuck all to do with Jews or Zionists

not all the officials though

not so far in this world cup anyway

it's funny though

going to be a lot more scrutiny here on in following the Egypt farce

The referee and both assistants for Argentina v Egypt were all French, and I'm not sure it makes much difference that the fourth official and reserve assistant referee were Norwegian

But I do agree it doesn't look great

should also say I reckon Morocco could beat both France and Argentina and I wouldn't consider it a shock

FIFA have been corrupt for yonks. As dodgy as they come..

But so are many club owners.

We lost the integrity of our game a long time ago.

Now VAR has taken away the most beautiful aspect of football. With no evidence of it making it fairer & erasing human error. Still the controversy continues… in many ways worse than ever.

We don’t need 3 extra officials antagonising over 19 angles in slow fucking motion & going back to the other end of the pitch.

We need two linesmen & a ref & an acceptance that mistakes well sometimes happen.

National football bodies & fans need to stop whining & turn to action. Boycott the World Cup. Set up an alternative tournament. Fans need to boycott games in the UK until VAR is scrapped.

Not of this will happen & the game will only get worse. So many games at this WC ruined by VAR & more controversy.

On a complete side note. Egypt completely fucked it for themselves. Salah should have been keeping the ball, not looking for a non penalty. Poor game management from them at 2 up.
