Went to the Seville game earlier in the season and met up with another Bolton fan. He'd contacted the club who said there'd been absolutely zilch interest in the official travel to the game. And that's with their competitive pricing policy :^o

 

Ended up by chance watching the match with the Seville Ultras. Wouldn't have done it for a competitive game though 8-[

You cannot tell me that the likes of St Andrews Travel are going to miss out on an opportunity like this. Or Sports Travel firms who specialise in these kind of trips. That's before your independent travellers.

It would be interesting to see if BWFC can legally prevent fans from purchasing match tickets WITHOUT transport arrangements.

My only gripe is that EVERYONE I have spoke to wants to travel. And I don't think this is just beer-talk, seriously everyone who either watches Bolton regularly, has a slight interest or watched them years ago wants to travel. I think tickets will get snapped up very quickly and a lot of fans will be left without. The black market for tickets overseas will make a killing!

What the club could do is sell EURO MEMBERSHIP schemes to season ticket holders for a neat and tidy sum, to guarantee tickets for games. This could be on a first-cum-first served basis - put your money where your mouth is scheme. Reason being that we will get fans who think they can skip the early rounds in Estonia and Albania and just travel to the glamour ties in Italy, France and Spain (yes we are going all the way).

Its the Estonia and Albania ties that i'm looking forward to. Why would I want to go to Spain? Been there dozens of times.

I don't believe that. If so, they would have developed the North Stand area into boxes which they never did. A season ticket would guarantee a cup final ticket - if it was one each. They fucked up. Sure they realise that now and have learned their lesson.

I know you probably aren't bothered but the way how we allocated awy tickets is as follows..........

1st one of the season, you put in, if oversubscribed, a ballot takes place(just like normal aways)

Then the next one ,priority is given to the people who applied and got the previous round, any left go on a ballot again....

So the 3rd one comes and pritority is given to people who applied and went to 2, then 1 then ballot again should any be left..

And so on.....it seems the fairest way as the people who have got off their arses and been to the shitty one in Moldova or where ever get pritority and so on.

And no they can't make tickets available just to their own trips it is again EU rules, as Utd found out when use to do it. They have to make some available to independant travellers.

Anyway good luck, I really hope you finish 4th and get into the CL.
