We can't even muster more than 1,200 - 1,500 for City away in our most successful season in living memory (apart from Biffo's maybe).

Where the fook were Sundry then?  Watching it on Sky.

Where were you jules? :-k

I think vouchers should be used.  The loyal fans that go to all the away league games should get first refusal for the uefa tickets.  Why should every man and his dog be on a level playing field when the big games arrive.

Same when we play Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal !!

We don't hear the same mad scramble for Portsmouth, Fulham, Charlton etc do we ?

season ticket holders with vouchers

then season ticket holders

then people with vouchers who aint got a season ticket

Pretty close to someone who was dragged out for boozing in their seat.

I was right behind Cassie and friends who'd had an afternoon of fun on someone's work credit card if I remember rightly.

I think that away season tickets is the way forward. Sod these applications - let the true supporters get the tickets and then let the plebians scut around for the rest.

It has worked for other clubs - why not ours

And as for Europe vouchers should definitely be used otherwise it will be a Carling Cup Final experience all over again.

2 questions

1) what defines a true suppoter>

2) who is the false marple white?

  • Author

Well I'm a Marple white - but definetely not false.

As for the true supporter - everyone will have their own opinion, but an away season ticket is the way forward. I brought it up at a shareholders meeting 3 years ago and Phil Gartside didn't even know what one was !!

Certain lads I know would rather have an away season ticket than a home one !!

how about people who have had tickets for years being given priority over JCLs ?

in the old days ticket revenue was what kept the club going now it is tv money.

so we should link ticket availability to having Sky as well.

actually ian, i thought lifeline members were given credit for keeping the club going

i see they're well down the pecking order now

without plenty folk who for one reason or another don't do aways any more, there proabably wouldn't be a bwfc to argue over who is the best supporter

which other clubs has it worked for?

All ticket sales should be based on a first come first served basis, with Season ticket holders allowed to buy up to four tickets against their one season ticket.

Post applications for those living outside the Horwich area should be left until the end if there are any left over from the fans queue outside.

Any BWFC Staff & their friends/next door neighbours should always get priorty

Sheff Wed currently have away season tickets

Wigan have introduced one for this season 8-[

They limit the numbers to 1000 - basically you receive an away ticket automatically as they have your debit/credit card details.

Where it gets messy is that it sounds like non-home ST holders can join the scheme. Should they get priority over a home ST holder for games like Utd away??

I'm sure if we had a similar scheme, it would sell-out on home ST holders only.......erm possibly 8-[

very nearly, mouth was open, teeth ready to bite. :-#

Can BWFC not see how long people have had their season tickets? - sounds simple to me, but I am simple. :-s

mine came two weeks ago......why should that matter ?

no they don't

they forgot to bring the books with em, no doubt

they'll have records as far back as the start of teamcard i guess

i bet uncle des gets one though

so far as priority, theres no way totally fair, but just because somebody has things they need to put above 60-100 quid away trips, it should hardly rule em out of making a once in a lifetime trip

there some folk who never miss a game, and i wouldn't mind betting money never leaves their hands...are they a better fan than somebody who spends owt they have spare on football, even if it means they only get to home games?

I KNOW SPURS, LEEDS AND BRADFORD (WHEN THEY WERE IN THE PREMIERSHIP) HAVE HAD AWAY SEASON TICKETS.

MY VILLA TKT CAME TODAY - ALONG WITH THE VOUCHER !!!

doubt bradford or leeds are doing it now.

Spurs maybe, wigan are for this season.

2 out of 92 teams use away season tickets, seems like they are a massive success.

I know for definate that I would have an away season ticket than a home one.

Would much rather go to Fulham away than Fulham at home, better atmosphere at away grounds.

Also, an away season ticket would see the same people at every away match, perhaps an even better atmosphere at away matchs if away season tickets came in.

In favour of an away season ticket [-o< :D

Why, surely the money would go to the "home" teams, i.e. not BWFC, so you would rather give your money to teams other than Bolton on a fortnightly basis - well that is sad
