For me it was Bolton 3-0 Preston due to working in the US

bolton v leicester a couple of years back, think we were 2 nil down and had 2 men sent off, got i back to 2-2.

When we played bournemouth and hull away in the same week.

I went to Hull but missed Bournemouth - last minute phil brown winner.

Missed us beating Bury 4-0 a few years ago, got my wallett stolen in town the night before. It had my money, bank card and ticket in

 

I could have gone to the ground and got another one, but I decided to stay up all night drinking Stella til I passed out 8-[

Missed the 2-1 against United due to being on holiday. Managed to find it on dodgy telly over in America though so didn't miss it completely... In a bar full of reds... fantastic

Play off final against Reading. Was in Zambia and didn't know we'd been promoted til 3 weeks after that.

And just this minute realised that if we're away in the second leg of the UEFA 1st round I might be fucked for that.

1995, Bolton V Reading

 

Having just landed at Heathrow from California the same day... the bloke who was picking us at the airport forgot his fuel key... anyhow after forcing the cap off we got a flat... just made it in the nick off time so my flying mates made it in

 

Unfortunately for me I was temporarily banned due to a misunderstanding so watched the 1st half in a pub on Wembley way with a Bury fan and listed to the second half on the radio with a lad who'd been thrown out at half time

 

Still it was good to see the looks on the Wanderers lads faces when they poured out after the final whistle

worst one that I know of was the London White who got as far as the turnstiles for the Liverpool League Cup final only to find he'd lost the ticket somewhere between the boozer and Wembley. Ended up having to trudge all the way back down Wembley way on his tod.

As if to rub salt into the wounds the next time we got to a League Cup final he was one of the ST holders who missed out - had to pay a London agency ??400 for tickets for him and his nephew.

Still, he were there at Pompey looking chuffed as houses at the end of the game

Always been to the ones that matter but for some reason I was pissed off not to see us play at Norwich in the League Cup in '98. Robbie Elliott scored and we went on to win on pens. The thing is I was never going to go this one but wish I had after the result came in.

However, I did only get in at half time against Liverpool when we draw 2-2 at Burnden in the FA cup match (after being 2-0 up) due to a Saturday night yawner (and waking up after kick off).... also went to the match in a shirt, trousers and shoes cause I didn't have time to go home and get changed

 

Having said that if we'd have won 2-0 we wouldn't have had the opportunity to beat them 2-0 at Anfield so suppose it was destiny
