boycott chelsea away

Featured Replies

seeing there is a bit off support to boycott the trip to chelsea we need to get to work on all the messege boards and footy phone ins to get it done properly cause if one hundred turn up then it just looks like a bad turn out.

lets make people aware that its happening and away supporters shouldent be prised out off following there team and who knows people might take notice and get a bit of pubblisity in national press. we might be able to get the fa to put a price cap on tickets and we will see away support in premiership grounds improve again.

whos willing to join me to try and get this going a bit

I'm in!

i won't be there

in fact, i'm so outraged at ticket prices that i'm boycotting every game this season

i wish others were as dedicated to the fans as I

I'm sorry to be a spoil sport but I get 'the shakes' on a match day and no matter how much I try not to go my addiction takes me there.

After saying that I am going to a wedding and will miss the Chelsea match after all #-o

I'll support any boycott, but it'll make little difference. Our away support is poor at best anyway, so a boycott will just look like we couldn't sell the tickets, as usual.

Not if we activley make it public. It's not going to make a massive amount of difference. It will to the lads on the pitch, however, when they know it's just not because 'we can't be arsed'. [-o< [-o<

I'm going to suggest it to the 'London Whites'. With the exception of one of the off-spring (slightly dodgy accent) there's nearly 500 members. (admittedly only about 300 are active).

Wouldn't it be lovely if we gave a big fcuk you to the Stamford Bridge faithful (what's left of them - biggest mouthy council house in the country) you can smell the prawn butties going sour from here

:-&

sorry can't boycott games.

My application is already in.

i aint goin...

1st miss of the season...

well done london whites [-o< =D>

Haven't done many aways for years, precisely because of cost!

As is the case for many

Secretly, I reckon there's actually pressure from some quarters to prevent many fans travelling- "reduces likleyhood of trouble"- the presence of fans staying home and watching it in the pub is an increasing trend- but why so few prosecutions for illegal screenings?

People in power turning a blind eye.

Unfortunately for the die-hards you get screwed

Dunno what the answer is except that what goes around comes around.

When Chelsea (perhaps not!) et al hit hard times, and satelite's fooked them off, then maybe they'll welcome you (us) back with lower ticket prices.

Dream on

Aye - dream on alright. Abramovich has just pocketed another mere ??7.4bn. Lend us a tenner eh Roman?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/4293684.stm

.....Already a billionaire eight times over, the Russian businessman and Chelsea FC owner almost doubled his wealth this week when he pocketed a cool ??7.4bn ($13bn) through the sale of his oil company Sibneft. .....

Get emailing the bbc etc.. and get a website or blog or smthg to co ordinate it.

http://www.pledgebank.com/ is quite good. I signed up for ' i would rather goto jail than sign up for a national ID Card'..

One problem though, u aint got much time to coordinate something.

I think this needs stretching much further than just an away trip to Chelsea. Either every club boycotts Stamford Bridge - or we just have a Boycott the Premier League day - where everyone stays away - that would mean a home game for some fans.

I think you'd need the assistance of the Football Supporters Association to do this - and I bet they are too far up the arses of some corporate assholes to help out.

Needs to happen soon though.

It won't happen.

Secondly, we need to make this boycott public, otherwise we'll just look like we've shit supporters.

What smiley says is true.. the only way in which the fans can really have a go at the FA, SKY and all the other corporate fat cat tossers is to have an entire stay away day. Publicity is the issue and its not something which can be organised in a week.

back in the day, we tried to organise a protest after they sold fransden to Blackburn.. banged a page up online etc.. ( having been outside with sack the board banner etc the game b4.. got on 5 live.. had some gimp from the BEN interview us )..

result.. next home match.. we won.. it was raining.. no one wanted to protest anymore haha

People are fickle.. if u do want to organise sometrhing, it needs to be universal or people wont do it.. plus.. u have the lostock boys to contend with, the ones who only go coz its a good day out and thus, will see it as a chance to have a ' day free from yobbos' heh

I'm one of the ones thats going, but thats because its one of my last chances to see the Whites before Xmas. However, why don't we sing:-

"Why the fcuk do we need fund to Ambrovich, why the fcuck do we need fund to Ambrovich, why the fcuk do we need fund to Ambrovich etc., as where getting fcuking ripped ripped off"

Suggestions welcome, I'm off. 8-[

Every penny goes towards Europe, ??40+ f*ck that, thats 80 pints in Sofia or 12 ish lap dances in Sofia's version of GoGo Girls (you all know what I mean if you went).

I know exactly what you mean, but we still have to support the lads in the Premiership, its our bread and butter. UEFA doesn't pay fcuk all until the later stages, maybe, so look at UEFA games as icing on the cake.

I would love to boycott, but the reality is that Chelsea could probably sell our allocation to home fans. Anyway remember the Nakata will probably pay so all the our London Jap friends will buy the tickets.

if chelsea vouchers are required for the portuagal away match, more people may go to that match. (if they can afford both!!)

Yeah if they can afford both, ??200-??300 for one football match

And then ??50 just for a ticket to Chelsea. Then you gotta pay for food drinks travel. ??100.

??350 for two football matches is too much, and these football bigwigs need to realise that the average football supporter cant afford to watch football on a regular basis any more.

I wasn't going anyway.

Agreed.. I used to goto at least 90% of home games and a good amount of away games.. back in the day..

I cant afford hardly to goto a match as it is ( HOME ).. If i am driving fair enuff.. 15 quid in petrol ( 5 quid to get to horwich and back, another 10 for sitting in the traffic heh ).

Aint that i wanna be an armchair supporter and i do try and get to a game now and then, but as u get a bit older u realise u gotta pay all these f00kin bills and payin for some rich tosspot to wine and dine his m8s in the corporate box when i sat freezin below aint my idea of an investment.

50 quid for a match is a pisstake in anyone's books. Next they will be selling strawberries and creame and singing cliff richard songs.

gamberro you are a bachelor boy
