Was Sealand Rd Chesters old ground?

I may have imagined this but were Bolton the last team to play at Chesters old ground the year before the played temorarily at Macc and has it a big all seater stand that went right back of was that the home end?

it was the home of Chester City

I went and saw a 2-0 defeat sat on the side of the ground with a grassy terrace to my left (the old away end i think)

I certainly dont think THAT was the last game there

oh and you will be shocked to find we were awful that day

Forest when we went up, won 2-0

Does anyone remember being at Chester's old ground, behind the goal, winter time, it was snowing and the Wanderers fans split into 2 groups and we had a mass snow ball fight?

I was in the home end at Maine Road for the game when we won the first division championship. Well it was the main stand right behind the trainer's bench. We had already sold our allocation when I went for my ticket. I went to Maine road on the morning of the game and told them that I was only in Manchester for the day (true) and that was why I didn't have the necessary vouchers and why I didn't want to buy a ticket for the next city game.

Remember being there (Chester) when Reevesie scored, Bolton fans went mad and there was only a crappy bit of wire fenicng stopping the fans from getting onto the pitch. Must have been 88- 89 ??

I remember that game...I went in the Chester main stand then and took piccys of the snowball fight at half time from a distance...it was a ball

Birmingham Cty in the eighties. I had a ticket for the main stand and after going through the turnstile I must have made a wrong turning and found myself in the player's tunnel. In those days the teams entered the pitch on the halfway line and there was a long passage running the length of the stand from the dressing rooms. A Birmingham player was coming down to go on the pitch to warm up and he kicked a ball towards me and I trapped it and passed it back. I then realised I would have to find my way into the stand and went through a door to my right. I was then in a sponsors lounge where they were serving drink and food. After a beer and a sandwich I left went up some stairs at the side of the bar and eventually reached a fenced off seating area. I climbed over the fence and went to find my seat. Bolton won that day too.

the one and only time i got a comp ticket, was for...............

Right, if we weren't the last team to play at Sealand Rd, where we the first team to play at Chester's new ground (Diva?) That may have been why it was an all seater that went right back

George, put me out of my misery
