I fuuckin hate seeing these tossers getting flasks out at half time in matches after sitting on their arses for the whole of the first half without making a sound.

Live and let live I'd say. If flasks aren't your thing (They're not mine either!) don't take a flask. Go down and have a beer/coffee/chocolate. Thing is, above all else, getting peeved at someone just for taking a hot drink in a flask is a sure fire sign that you are a stressed out lad who's going to worry yourself into an earlier grave than if you'd just let them get on with their lives and you get on with yours.

Aye, exactly what Micky says.

If someone is taking a flask does that harm the people around them? Nope. Not breaking the law either.

I am one of them 'flask' people. What winds me up is people who go to the match and watch me drinking my nice hot Bovril while freezing their nuts off and who are secretly wishing that they had brought a flask. That's you that is Mr Knobhead.

HBIYF?

I used to take the hip flask filled with a drop of metaxa 7*...

that was a riiiiiight touch.

Meet customers in a box at the Reebok 5 or 6 times a season, have to be in a couple of hours before kick off and there's always people dotted around the stands, no doubt with flasks & a packed lunch.

Fair play to them, bet I was not alone in sitting in the viewing platform thing when they were building the Reebok.

Aye, that viewing platform -its just made me think about after the Tranmere game (when the kunts equalised and fucked up the 100 goal 100 point scenario) I drove back from the Wirral and decided on a whim to nip to the Reeobok site....only to find that umpteen people had had the same idea. Quite moving really ....<sniff>

oh marplewhite wont be happy with ur coments his flask of dargeling is in attandance at quite a few matches

We take a flask as the brew is cheeper and nicer than from the rip off shops underneath. Plus they dont put whisky in yer coffee for ya at the reebok.

fer the 5 o'clock games we take a whole f??cking picnic!!!! i for one refuse to pay ridiculously high prices for sh??te food and drink!!

I people want to take flasks, then they're obviously not bothered about their geekish nature.

I do hate people who compain when you stand up at matches, some old -coffin-dodger was moaning to me at Wigan for it.

PB

Do you want more

I had the same problem at Wiggin pb, I went to stand up when there was a corner being taken and the owd dear behind me tapped me on the back and asked me to sit down, my arse hadn't even left the seat!!!!

As for the flasks, I think i'm going to start taking one as there is never any hot choccy left!

Wonder if I can get a nice one from anywhere :-k

I also like to take a packet of Werthers to suck on during the game, although I do get upset when one drops out of my mouth and sticks to the tartan rug that I have wrapped around my legs

Seriously though, what are the thoughts on hip flasks, my Dad always takes one "to warm his cockles" apparently. I presonally prefer to give mine a good rub :D

Hip flasks are the bonus of taking yer grandad!!! a nice swig of jamesons when it all gets a bit hectic, with hunt and campos comedy defending, calms the nerves!!!

hmmm didn't think of hip flasks... I myself have been known to partake in sampling some metaxa at half time.

They are exempt from my rant.

I was really referring to the type of people who usually carry them to matches. You know who I mean... they tell you to sit down (as previous post said) and show no passion at all.

But you're right.. everyone to their own

(I was pissed up when I made the original post)

Depends whats in the flask !

However, if you look at how long it takes to even get downstairs (ie wigan) or to get served (at the reebok - without going down before the whistle blows) then each to his own.

went to pictures the other weekend to see that narnia thing. (it is brilliant by the way)

and the family next to us had full flasks and butties in there !

we remained seated throughout so can not comment if they objected to standing.

my name is philip actually.

You didn't even stand when the film got exciting then Mr Actually.
