Guest The Special One Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 I can honestly say that yesterdays performance ranks along side the Arsenal one. Albeit it was only Watford, the players were magnificent and professional. Even at 3-0 up the players busted a gut to stop them getting a consolation too. And we strung about 40 passes together at one point
jolly-olly Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Pity that gary neville Alan Green wasn't watching. Cracking result against a team doing very well in the Championship. I must admit I feared the worst before the game, I expected a shock of the 3rd round with the number of players we had missing.
Guest kempo Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 We played well, we passed the ball too. Think he should try some of yesterdays bench in a prem match, see if they're any good.

I don't think we can risk playing academy players in the Prem. We need to put our strongest available players after the first 11 on the bench.
Eavesy Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 vaz te looks quality. We often gave him the ball and relied on him to create an opening, like how we did with jay jay a few seasons ago. And on more than one occasions he created something. Learn to stay onside young one
tyldesley_white Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Every time Vaz Te plays he seems to create goal for other players and that is a priceless attribute to have, as well as popping the odd goal in him self
Guest Biff Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Yes we played well yesterday with only five regular players. But let's not forget that Watford are not a premiership team even if they are well placed for promotion. If Bolton field yesterday's team in a premiership, they would struggle just like they did on Boxing day at Sunderland.
Guest Uncle_Northy Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 10 out of 10 for the pies they sold in the ground. bit pissed off they did not sell any ale
HR Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Very funny quote today from the Watford manager; The gulf (between the Premiership and the Championship) is not too big if you have the right players, the right manager and the right backing"

Guest Uncle_Northy Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Christ on a bike, you must do some killer farts! What i'm trying to say IS i'm as happy as the next bloke with the way bolton wanderers are progressing as a club though( GARTSIDE could get his cheque book out a bit more) these days at a football match are so ragging boring , stewards who think they are so powerfull. ticket cost , Etc Etc. now in the dark days we was shite, but it was always a ragging good day out. climbing on the fences when we scored ,the sway of the crowd. and a ragging good fight, before during and after the match. AND NO GOD DAMN STEWARD TELLING YOU TO SIT DOWN EVERY 5 MINS
