What about Oscar Perez. He must have improved the squad.
February 4, 200620 yr my logic is this : if players such as borgetti and vaz te are fit and are kept out of the squad by a new player who is unproven to fit into our system and also by the looks of things completly unfit then i would definetly consider him a liability rather than a player who will improve our squad. However, if we have no strikers left to play and jansen can perform when asked to then he will improve our squad. But from the 3 occasions he has played i cannot see him being an improvement to our squad unfortuantely.
February 4, 200620 yr You don't seriously think that Borgetti fits into our system. I thought we were all agreed that that was why he never started a game for us. Jansen had a good game at Portsmouth and also did well in the first half today.

Infact for the last 2 seasons davies has baiscally played wide right with stelios through the middle. Borgetti hasnt started a match because davies, diouf and stelios will always be our first choice top 3. Jansen was too slow today and didnt contribute attacking wise. He was also less than willing to defend. I want him to do well, but it took borgetti the best of 5 months to gain a regular place and in that he had the opportunity of cups and uefa cup to show what he can do, jansen doesnt have those opportunities and with vaz te threatening to be the greatest striker we will ever have since ricketts, then jansen is going to struggle to get into our team.

We actually play a system with Davies up front on his own. His job is to hold the ball until the midfield come up for the second ball. Borgetti isn't that kind of player. During the game Davies will drift out to either the right wing or the left wing depending on which side we are attacking. I would like Vaz Te to become a superstar but at the moment he isn't. Jansen has more potential currently and is more worthy of a start than Vaz Te. Borgetti has only got a regular place at the moment because Diouf is away in Africa. I fully expect Jansen to be on the bench when Diouf returns unless Davies is injured.
