Guest kempo Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 BBC2 in a minute. Who do we want? I would like a home game
exiledwhite2 Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 Gut instinct says that's a shite draw Guess you just want home advantage at that stage
no balls Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 Aston Villa or Manchester City v Bolton Wanderers or West Ham United
Happy Wanderer Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 I'd take either of them two, but we have a more difficult game in beating Wet Spam at their gaff first.
mickythehippo Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 better for you than us what a shag, away again and midweek should we beat Bolton, natch
Horwich Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 MAN CITY Have announced if they get through, the match will be moved to Old Trafford to accomodate the west ham massives
Guest sendô Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 MAN CITY Have announced if they get through, the match will be moved to Old Trafford to accomodate the west ham massives whereas if it's bolton they have to entertain they'll play it at stockport
MickyD Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 MAN CITY Have announced if they get through, the match will be moved to Old Trafford to accomodate the west ham massives whereas if it's bolton they have to entertain they'll play it at stockport Touch?? Monsieur Horwich!
Horwich Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 i'd rather go to stockport...proper ground.
WHUJOHN11 Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 Horwich you slag how are ya? what did you think of sat then?
Horwich Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 Horwich you slag how are ya? what did you think of sat then? Only just seen the post.. I thought the game was shite...Hardly a shot on target. The offside didnt go for us, one might in another game. The penalty should have been given, stelios made too much of it, maybe the reason it wasnt given. Didnt think you threatened us that much (with 2 better strikers than we have) but we didnt do much either. You were always gonna be happy with a replay. Your following was good (Although there was no need for all the postings regarding how many are coming up) Our support was shite, doesnt bother me. All premiership grounds are shite for watching football thesedays. Looking forward to Marseille this week. The away Euro games have been the highlight of the season. Maybe thats what makes top flight football over here so shite.
WHUJOHN11 Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 In that case appol for the second post.... Thats got to be the first bit of sense ive seen you post on here...well done! As for the game it was a bit of a let down but happy at the end of the day to get you back to ours. We've been playing well at home and should be a good game if you lot turn up , im sure you'll be up for it. That was my first visit to the "Reebok" and apart from the lack of staff at the bars on the concourse had a good day and a right larf. oh and steioioppoloolss...or what ever is a diving little ****....but then you already knew that. Good luck with the frogs. O:)
exiledwhite2 Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 WHUJohn It was a penalty though wasn't it? Put aside the diving and anything else - he was manhandled and it should be a pen in my book. What do you reckon?
WHUJOHN11 Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 Not sure exile...id say he's rep has gone before him ...a bit like di canio when he was with us he never got half the pens he should of because evey ref was like " its him again no way" But scaloni hardly touched him and he went down like he was shot.
Horwich Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 should have been even the papers say it was but it wasnt shit happens
WHUJOHN11 Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 there you go the papers said it was a pen ........so no way then id say!
Zozzy Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 Stelios was fouled in the box so it was a penalty, then he dived to make sure he got it and it went against him. Against Arsenal last week Gardener was the victim of a two footed tackle with studs showing, he is so quick he just skipped over it. He could have dived and rolled over ala Nistlerooy, Lehman or Campo to get the player booked or even sent off. LATEST NEWSFLASH: Refs are not consistent
Traf Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Zozzy's wrong: This season the refs are very consistent: none of them give us anything.
Guest as Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 I hope we beat the spammers away, but I can't see it. Not with the amount of games we've got coming up. Wouldn't mind City away - I went to Maine Rd a few times but still haven't been to their new 'soulless' stadium yet. PB
no balls Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 I was there on that day...you know when we got battered but strangely walked away with the maximum points...top! Not only were we attacked by piped chanting but also plastic bottles of coke (oh that was painful!) & some random fat bloke called me a fat fooking backward slag as I was leaving the away end exit...all in all a fabulous experience. Yep, you've missed nowt by not going there!
Casino Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 some random fat bloke called me a fat fooking backward slag your point? 8-[
no balls Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 some random fat bloke called me a fat fooking backward slag your point? 8-[ Didn't know I needed one, I was just letting pb know he wasn't missing owt by not going to eastlands by recalling my last outing there. When I say random, he was a city fan...well, I think he was!
