Bruno & JJ Released...

http://www.bwfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/...~826520,00.html

THE CURTAIN has come down on the great careers of Bruno N'Gotty and Jay Jay Okocha in a Wanderers shirt. Sam Allardyce confirmed after Saturday's final league game of the season that the Club will not be retaining the services of Bruno N'Gotty and Jay Jay Okocha for next season.

Both players' contracts have come to end and the Wanderers manager paid a glowing tribute to Okocha and N'Gotty, both of whom he described as being integral to the recent success of the Club.

"Jay Jay and Bruno will go down in Wanderers folklore - not only for what they brought to the Club in terms of experience and quality, but also for what they helped us to achieve during their time here. Nobody will ever forget their contribution.

"We are looking to reduce the overall age of our squad and it was a tough decision not to offer them new deals."

The Club will announce its retained list early next week.

Ah, John Byrom. 20+ a season goal scorer.

2 truly great players in the bolton wanderers history books...

its been a pleasure watchin em!

=D> =D> =D>

That's a shame.

Jay Jay off to the Middle East then?

Another 2 who we could not show our apprecation to.

Sad to seem them both go as they have brought so much to the club.

Although he didn't actually score I don't think I'll ever see a better performance in a Bolton shirt than the one Jay Jay gave at Spurs a couple seasons back. Hit the woodwork 3 or 4 times and looked like he could be the best player in the world.

More difficult to pick out individual moments for Bruno. Mr consistency who just got about his job match after match. I was always surprised but grateful that no bigger clubs came in for him. I really think he could have played for pretty much any team in the league.

Thanks to both of you - we wouldn't be where we are without you!

=D>

gutted to see the two chaps go but we have to move on and its the right time to let them go and bring in new faces. wish them the best of luck for the future.

I'd have liked JJ to have another season, he isn't a box to box player, he isn't that old, and he has pure quality. We'll struggle to find another player of his calibre.

Guess his wages were the key.

Sad to see both of them leave :(

Jay Jay ..did his bit for bolton...but bruno for me will be hard to replace .

Looks like ''jay jay '' will get his pay day in the middle east .

as for bruno ..i hope he finds another club very soon .and i wish him all the best for the rest of his career .

if it was bruno last game were was he. jj for me can fcuk off nothing for 2years

im really sori to see bruno go! i wish him good luck and all the best!!!

as for jay jay i couldnt really give a toss

sad news but probably right imo

jj in his 1st season with us was the best player to ever pull on a white shirt in my time time watching bolton.never been the same player since leaving for the africa nations in 2003,could have been worth another though but sam must have thought his wages can be used better else where.

bruno has been our best defender for the past few years.he hardly made a mistake until this year but age has caught up with him, from making no mistakes he was making mistakes regular.

both of them will go down in bolton folklore =D>

jj for me can fcuk off nothing for 2years

Folk like you really make me sick!! It's Jay Jays playing ability, besides others, that has seen the club have one of its best seasons in the clubs histoty!

I hope he thinks the same when he see's you lot turn out on the pitch before the game rebel!!

all the defence are making mistakes you just cant blame bruno

sue be honest tell me what game jj has been our best player this season

Do you ever have a bad day at work? :-k

yes but i get sack if i had 2years like jj

Nice of the club not to release this before the match so we could show our appreciation! ](*,)

Heartfelt thanks go to both bruno and JJ for all they have done for the Superwhites, I wish them all the best for the future.

Yeah, sad to see them both go but managers get paid to make the tough decisions and I bet this was a really tough one. I guess Sams thinking is Faye can slot in for Bruno and then Tal's best buddy can hopefully slot in for Jay Jay when he arrives.

Still need a good striker though but fair play to Vaz - he's on a roll, shame the season had to end for him really.

Both of you need to give your heads a shake.

Bruno and Jay Jay have been important parts of some of the most succesful seasons in the clubs history.

it might be the right time for them to move on but to dismiss them like that is plain stupid.

i am thinking JCLs.

I'm surprised Okocha has not been retained. With Campo looking to be another player out of the Reebok, I would have though Okocha could have played the 'Campo' role perfectly. Indeed he sat in their on Sunday when Campo went off and look quality with time on the ball and stroking it about.

It's not to be and Sam has made his desision for one reason or another and we must respect that.

Thanks to both Bruno and Jay-Jay for the quality they produced in a White shirt. =D> =D>

it is a major dropped bollock not signing okocha, we have signed idan tal who is 12 months younger and never done anything, very good chance JJ will pop up at wigan or blackburn in my opinion.

Okocha for me has been back to somewhere near his best over the last few games. His passing and crossing has been outstanding.

Both are BWFC legends who have been as responsible as any to turn us from a yo-yo club to an established Prem top half club.

is there any news on who else is being released?
