May 26, 200620 yr when big sam gets chance to talk to a player he is very persuasive and clever, players find it very hard to walk away after big sam has spoken to them. rivaldo even came back and asked to sign for us but bolton said only if you half your wage because you messed us around and therefore he didnt. big sam will have this in the bag by middle of next week. watch this space
May 26, 200620 yr are we really that desperate to sign johnson? he has made it clear he wants to sign for everton, i personally would be happy to see him sign for Everton or wigan for 8.5 million and a reported ?? 40,000 a week ( it is way over the top for a player of his ability), if we got him i would be pleased the board had backed Big sam, but if we dont it is far from the end of the world if we don,t get him and i am 100% certain for that kind off money there are players out there who would fit the bill.

May 26, 200620 yr Its not over yet. The only thing Everton have got over us is a bigger fan base and history. That is of course significant, and may be enough but we have a better team, squad, coaching and backroom staff, manager, are better run, and now were spending money, if we genuinely are, then have more ambition. Sam and PG may just be able to make AJ see this.

There have been no direct quotes from Johnson that he would prefer to sigb for Everton; it's speculation based around the fact that he's Beattie's mate... It's all in the sell now, simple as...
