Maybe they feel that letting other clubs know that we've got even more money in the coffers is less important than communicating the fact that they're sometimes not as daft or inept as a lot of Bolton fans think they are.

Does anyone else think that the bid for Johnson was just in jest and to test the water and to also make idiots (like myself!) renew their season tickets? I think it was a half hearted attempt to sign an average player for an over-inflated price. If we were serious about splashing ??8 mill, why didn't we sign Eidur back? :evil:
