Jussi's outburst

Featured Replies

Not a bad atmosphere as the team were just hoofing it up.

Jussi telling the East Stand to "fcuk off" was quite funny.

I thought Watford were miles the better team today, they were really unlucky to walk away with nothing. It was definitely a penalty and well tucked away by Speed which in the end proved to be the difference between the 2 sides.

I thought Jussi was quite pathetic giving the ESL stick after he continually wasted possession all afternoon, does he think that the fans who ultimately pay his wages (Buy season tickets, match day tickets, subscribe to sky sports, Pay Per View and buy the merchandise) don't have a right to express their opinions? He's a great keeper and remarkable servant to Bolton, just thought he was a bit childish today to say the least! I expected him to stamp his feet and then fall to the floor in tears like a 6 year old!

The quality of football yesterday as a team was terrible. Too many individual performances were poor so how could we perform as a team.

Hunt was awful, Meite was awful, Nolan was awful, Diouf was awful. Out of them four players only one was continually heckled and shouted at throughout the match and he was the youngest. All you boo boys who aren't prepared to get behind your players while the game is on should be ashamed of yourselves, you will turn a good young prospect into a nervous wreck with no confidence. Imagine yourself as a 20 yr old playing in front of 20,000 people and TV cameras etc.

someone earlier in this thread said "The lads don't give a shit whether you turn up or not."...........whoever said that, you are a dickhead' Did you not see Jussi urging the crowd to get behind the team? It meant a lot to him and it would mean a lot to me if I was on the pitch and I could hear the fans supporting me.

I can assure you from where I was sat that Jussi was not urging the esl, he was in fact telling them to f??ck off because they had the audacity to show their disgust towards him when he sent yet another long ball straight to their keeper

Jussi screamed fcuk Off at the ESL and showed utter contempt for our support.

I think Sam's constant slating of our support has permeated through to the team and the everyone is against us attitude now extendeds to our own support. Jussi needs to apologise otherwise he can do exactly what he said, arrogant pussy.

i think jussi had every right to shout back at the fans in the esl if u have a bad day at work do u get a few hundred people slagging u off

I do actually

I do actually

you get paid more than jussi

i wouldnt worry too much about hunt he earns enough money not to bother too much about the stick. People have views full stop. I for one dont believe any footballer cares quite as much as the fans do to them its a job and they get well paid for it to boot .

I disagree with every word of this apart from when you say "People have views"

I just think that these views should be in the pub after the match or on these messageboards. The 90 minutes while they are playing we should be doing our bit to get the 3 pts.

I didn't see Jussi having a go at the ESL. I was meaning in the first half he was turning round to the NSL throwing his arms up saying come on, encouraging us to sing up.

I'm not sure what half arsed job you've got but if I told a customer to fcuk off, I'd be sacked for gross misconduct immediately. This goes from McDonald's employees up to the Prime Minister.

The extent some people will go to to defend over paid footballers sometimes staggers me.

two points

they'd replace you more easily than bolton would replace jussi

your point relies on people accepting theyre overpaid

fwiw, i think its out of order screaming abuse at supporters, but its also not on for 'supporters' to do it to players either

really so you have never shouted at a player ever at a match ?????????

I could remove the word "overpaid" and the sentence still stands, nothing relies on that part whatsoever.

My company could not replace me immediately and I don't have 2 capable understudies. If Jaaskelainen has such contempt for our support, I don't know what he's doing here.

i used to slag off warren joyce regularly

cos sam thinks he's one of the best in the world?

really so did i along with paul frizpatrick, simon rudge and jeff chandler!! but i thought joyce was one of our better players the chunky nugget

Henshaw used to get it in the neck from me , but he was the only one ... I now realise its not big and its not cleaver, it does nothing for the team, in my mind when Hunt plays the way the crowd goes after him its like the away team as a extra man because the crowd are not doing what they should do and that's getting behind there own team

you have a point but theres a big difference between the two jobs. im sure jussi wont be pleased that he did it and im sure if sam has seen it he will be given a kick up the back side .

Nay lad, forget Sam, BWFC, salaries etc. I'm talking about the person here. What's he doing here if he has contempt for the supporters?

Jussi had no right telling the fans to fcuk off IMO.

It was also unnecessary for him to put his hands behind his ears after the goal went in, as though to ask if we were still unhappy.

Jussi, you're a pussy.

I'm not saying it's right what Jussi did but look at it from his point of view.

He has been at the club for 8/9 years now, he is currently our longest serving player. He is a very good goalkeeper and has done very well for us. Everybody knows that his kicking is pretty poor but that isn't a main asset for a keeper. Apart from his kicking I would say he is a top quality goalkeeper.

So he's watching his team playing so poorly infront of him, and so will not be very happy. Then he does a few bad kicks and the crowd start shouting at him. He then shouts back at them. I know if it was me I would probably do exactly the same but then would regret it later.

Leave the lad alone, all you people that have suddenly started hating him for that one little thing should stop being so stupid and think of all the things he has done for the club.

Frustration

That's why the fans let out an anguished cry the moment Jussi hoofed the ball forward. It's also exactly why Jussi lost his cool and decided to fall out with the entire contents of the East Stand.

Watford are, relatively speaking, pretty poor footballers for this division. They have a good excuse for their style of play. Our fans, quite rightly, were sick and fed up of the aimless hoofing going on by our defence and midfield, especially as on this occasion we had had nobody upfront who would appreciate that style of play all game. . . Aside from the fact Watford had some huge lads in defence.

I couldn't help myself shouting when Jussi's kick sailed into no mans land and a few of the forward players gestured with disbelief too. We should be more patient and build from the back. We have the talent!

I forgive him now though and I hope he can forgive me :)

Lets drink to forgiveness :drinks:

We should be more patient and build from the back. We have the talent!

Exactly. One of the back 4 should make the effort every time Jussi has the ball to move to the wing, come short or find some space somewhere, then instead of hoofing it long to nobody we should pass it into our midfield. We had the class in our team yesterday to easily beat Watford if we had PASSED! All they had was some big guys at the back that were winning every long ball that we played up. We played right into their hands.

I have no problem with forgiving and forgetting, heat of the moment and all that.

So, will Jussi apologise? Will he fuckerslike. I didn't see the old hand to the ear gesture but that is totally and utterly pathetic.

Got to agree with carlos. You don't bite the hand of the hand that feeds you.

Out of order Jussi.

who gives a fcuk if the players have a go at the fans, if you give it out, dont expect not to take it back, it is called passion.
