When really they should just run as fast as they can and finish it. Simple as. Always thought Overmars was brilliant at doing that and Walcott reminded me of him.

His second goal last night - Anelka picked up the ball in a similar position (a bit closer to goal though) versus Liverpool and seemed to be completely indecisive and ballsed it up completely. Shows what a bit of confidence and belief can do for you. Hope Walcott doesn't lose that sense of fearlessness? with the ball as he grows older...

Totally agree. The emphasis is on not making any mistakes and powerful play instead of creativity and imagination. That side of our game is being slowly eroded. It's got to be a balance between the two! That said, Walcott looked a class act (albeit against a tiring defence). Great first touch and finishes for both goals, especially the second. Very Henryesque! Fast as fook as well (although not as fast as David Lee of course).

October 12, 200619 yr Went to the game, and it was one of the best I've been to in ages. Always nice to beat Germans in their own back yard. oh and if you heard one person singing the national anthem, that was me.
