monkfish
So, any reason for any BWFC fan to be happy that he's back in a white shirt. No reason for Hunt to be on the bench. We've played with him all season and we've had a very good defensive record. He may not be the best around, but any player who has been part of a back-four that's kept 6 clean sheets in te prem, does not deserve to be dropped in exchange for pederson!! At least Sam used his subs wisely.... fcukin bringing hunt and idan tal on at 90mins. Feck Off !!!
Members burnden
i am not one of hunts greatest admirers and would like to see us aquire a quality right back ... but your right monkfish he didn't deserve to be dropped in place of anyone let alone pedders !!!! Sams decisions on subs astound me at times too.

Why have we not got it sorted out since then!
Guest squidgy66
I thought Peds was a great addition to the team last season, but He's lost it this season. I don't know who the forward was for Wiggin - but he was on his heels and Campo came from nowhere in midfield - sheer class - Henrick wasn't fit - period I miss Ricardo

You can't blame Pedersen though. He is just back from a bad injury, his first training session was on saturday 21st October how the hell can Sam expect him to compete against pacy premiership forwards. Come off it.. he's been through years of pre-season training and turned out for the whites at the peak of his phsyical ability AND he STILL CAN'T FKCUIN COMPETE AGAINST THE SHITTEST SLOWEST PREM FORWARDS. if you like pederson zozzy then fair enough, but please don't try and convince me that with another 5-6 games under his belt we'll have a player comparible in skills and defensive qualities to Roberto Carlos. He's not good enough and never has been. Sam fckued up yesterday and got his just deserts.
Zozzy
monkfish I actually think we are in ageement about Pedersen not having the ability/skill to be a Premiership left back even when fully fit. What I meant to say is you can't blame Pedders for being stuck in that position, we can only ask him to give 100% for the team and that is what he always does. Yes I do like him, not because of his ability as a footballer but because of his attitude, the same way that I admired Pete Nicko, Roy Greaves, Gudni, Kev Davies and many more. CharnyArmyWanderer
Should of tried harder to secure the services of Vincent Candela for longer. Could play at left back or right back. All problems solved as far as i'm concerned.

Peders is an attacking player, not a left back! He is doing a job Sam has asked him to do and he is doing it to the best of his ability. I don't understand the Nicky Hunt thing yesterday but in full defence of Peders, he works hard and has a go. There were plenty other players that could be singled out yesterday let alone somebody thats been out for 6 months and playing out of position on his return. Give him a break!! Guest Biff
Perhaps a reason for playing Pedersen is that Ben Haim is far better at right back than left back.

Moderators Casino Posted November 5, 2006 Moderators Share Posted November 5, 2006 anybody who doesn't rate gardner doesn't know football so all other opinions are disregarded you can tell we've lost one, can't we let's slag off pedeersen and i'll tell you what, if hunt had played, it would have been him as well
Members bolty58
Gobsmacked to hear any criticism of Ricardo. At his best - THE best left back in the EPL for mine.
Smiley
Perhaps a reason for playing Pedersen is that Ben Haim is far better at right back than left back. He's also far better at centre back than those two clowns who are currently playing in those positions. Hunt should have started. But I knew last week he'd pick Pedersen. Why???? Stelios in the middle of the park? Why? Should have been Tal from the off, give him a chance to play himself into the team. At half time, if he'd been ineffective, THEN change things. Moderators Casino Posted November 5, 2006 Moderators Share Posted November 5, 2006 those two clowns who are currently playing in those positions. pompey, newcastle, blackburn, liverpool wouldn't reckon they're clowns ffs, theres some moaning fcukers and plenty are old enough to know better
Smiffs
pompey, newcastle, blackburn, liverpool wouldn't reckon they're clowns ffs, theres some moaning fcukers and plenty are old enough to know better Casino, now you are fairly clever so you should realise that losing two home derbies on consective saturdays without scoring a goal or putting up a fight is going to really piss people off nomatter what position we are in. If we had lost to say Arsenal and Reading then it wouldn't be half as bad. What happens at the end of the season is all that matters overall, but what are the first things you look for when the fixtures come out at the beginning of it? Those two have been making some shocking errors and either Jussi or woeful finishing has got them off the hook. Neither of them seem able to judge the bounce of the ball. And some of their positional play is terrible. Both were ball watching for the goal yesterday. Not good enough.

jolly-olly
Pedersen couldn't trap a bag of cement. I know he ain't a defender but his first touch and ball control simply doesn't exist.

What on Earth did Gardner do wrong throughout last season? He was by far the best left back in the Prem last season in Heinze's absence, and I'd much rather have him over Ashley Cole considering how piss poor he's been for Chelsea so far. BWFC_LOVE
The biggest game of the season was Marseille away. Both their goals came from crosses from Gardners side of the pitch. I can't remember their second, but I seem to remember the first from Ribery coming from a cross from their full back, who was quite deep? Surely Gardner can't be blamed for that at all? Moderators Horwich Posted November 5, 2006 Moderators Share Posted November 5, 2006 Did Pedersen not play about 30 years of his life as a FORWARD? How long has Hunt been a DEFENDER? Hunt plays in position and is the weakest part of our team, Pedersen is asked to play out of position and has a bad game.
