How many did Bolton take that night?

3500

just short of double it.

just short of double it.

the total attedance was less than 8000

Attendance was 8785

Hull only averaged 4.115 that season

I'd say we took between 5000-6000

the total attedance was less than 8000

Was it fook!

Was it fook!

Great night and although the attendance was under nine thousand there was a cracking atmosphere.

Who remembers the wanderers lad coming on the pitch before K.O. and the Hull City fan who came on to have a game of "footy"?

FIVE way games on the trot! George is that some kind of record?

Beating Liverpool away with McGinlay and Walker playing and an historic win for the Wanderers, next home gate under 9,000 !!

Wigan away under 6K, not even a concrete terrace, just a grass/muddy banking.

Chester City at home, didn't they turn up late, stuck in traffic? and we hammered then 5-0.

Great memories

Only the Werthers brigade were in the Bolton end at Wigan :pardon:

the atmosphere was electric, you could feel something momentous was going to happen, i dont know if you know jack who use to go with the walkden whites, but he was the lad who ran the full length of the pitch before thew game to score a goal at the Hull end of the ground, i must mention the midweek game, 3 days before was also a key factor in us getting promoted, i went down to bournemouth that night in a mini bus with some walkden and L/H lads if you ever get to see that video you can see quite a few of our mini bus on the fence celebrating brownies goal, including a certaim M.K. with full head of hair.

The game wasn't THAT long ago was it? :p

Awesome evening that night at Hull, as was the home game against Stoke, not often you see the away fans celebrate a home goal.

A certain law abiding person off this site, (windsor) got kicked unconcious that night.

A good night all the same :yahoo:

I was there, only a young un though. My mum and dad picked me up at school that friday and we went straight there.I remember standing at the front of the side terrace so I could see, whilst my parents stood further back. When we scored the first, some random guy grabbed hold of me and my brother to protect us from a crush. Coming out of the ground I remember about 10 wanderers fans singing 'we are going up' whilst bouncing on top of a transit van

Happy Days

was at Bournemouth, though in truth the fact that I was living in Southampton at the time does lessen the kudos a bit and also explains why I was not at Hull :(
