Sourcesclose to Sam Allardyce says he will be next Newcastle manager!!!!

SHOCK HORROR!!!!

On sky sports new now!

they are saying it WILL go through at the end of the season...

if he had just said he wanted to leave for newcastle as he was ambitious i would have no problem.

but to do as he has and then take over....................i hope he falls flat on his face!

l know why lie, should have left at end of season to go there. hes out of order?

I not one for being abusive usually, but if our EX manager had this in mind all along, he can f?ck right off and I hope he receives a rough reception next season. Although Bruce broke my heart when he left, at least he had valid reasons both personal and professional and gave us all the courtesy of telling the fans these reasons at the end of the season. I'm sure if Sam's a underhand as it is now appears, him and Fat Freddy will make a lovely couple.

Case closed and I shall now move on (well until we play the barcodes next season.)

all he needed to say was the obvious; we've had a great 7 years but we're outgrowing each other and I cannot work miracles for ever in the same cicumstances. We both need to move on. I want to try my hand at a huge club with bigger resources. I'm leaving the club in a far better state than I found it, so I thank you all for your support and will always have a big part of Bolton in me.

Or summat like that.

Hear hear. He could have left with a great deal of respect from all football fans, and Wanderers fans in particular. But if this is true, and it is an if at the moment, then he will be seen, by us at least, as a right sh1thouse. And I personally think that's a pity.

yeah thats bang on, but now hes a tw.at!

Ok, time to play devils advocate, and thats all I am doing before everyone throws their toys out of the pram...but

May be he decided to do it this way rather than leave the club split :pardon:

If he had gone saying we had out grown each other, the club dont match his ambitions, Davies is a tight wad sat on millions, and next season they are only giving me ?10m when I wanted ?20m where would it have left the club?

He would still have walked away but left the fans and the club divided and that is not going to help anyone is it?? this way we can move on without behind the scenes problems with fan demonstrations??

May be I just dont want to sour my memory of a legend

4 words. Bruce Rioch - Gentleman - Honest

I was only young, but did Bruce not say on in front of the masses "I'm not going anywhere!" after the play-off final?

I dont think he did because i remember being worried about him going the day after we got promoted.

Remember he was asked the question about staying as there'd been loads of speculation.

He just walked off without answering.

No. The commentator asked him if he was staying at bolton for next season and he just smiled and walked away.

My recollection was Rioch wouldn't celebrate in front of the fans after we won...

Little bit different than Sam, BWFC of those days and Arsenal... nobody in their right mind would expect him to stay

He signed Denis Bergkamp within a few weeks FFS !

Sam was never going to get out with dignity. Gartside would've refused permission to speak to Newcastle etc etc. The manner of it doesn't bother me at all, it's nearly always like this. What does it matter at the end of the day?

exactly

let it go, ffs

People are annoyed because Allardyce cited the need for a good break from the game as his main reason for leaving.

Max Clifford

As soon as anyone says 'sabbatical' you know it's bullsh?t

He could've waited 2 weeks if he was having a long break

EXACTLY!!!!

A little bit of honesty wouldn't have gone a miss.

For me it has tarnished everything he has done here. I would have loved Big Sam to leave Boton with superlatives attached to his name but along with the great comments I will most likely always now add the words nob cheese. Unless of course he really is just taking a long deserved break from football having secured european football for another season ...

deserved break from football having secured european football for another season ...

IMO we were as likely to fail to get a UEFA Cup place under BSA as we are now under Sammy.

he has left in exactly the same way as he came......

unless you were up in arms then not sure you can be up in arms now...

fcuk him, he is the past, move on...

For letting Bolton down by going to Newcastle read letting Notts County fans down by going to Bolton!

The bloke's got form as a lying c?nt. Why bleat about it now when it didn't raise an eyebrow eight years ago?

Still the most successful manager we've ever had though.

Imagine the short shrift he'd have got if he'd taken his vision elsewhere when we appointed him:

"What's that, fatty? A Tai Chi Instructor? What have you been putting in your pies?"

The backing he's had from our club has put him where he is today, so telling the truth about his departure was the least he could have done.

I think he had ten games in charge of Notts County.

I think he had ten games in charge of Notts County.
he managed them for 145 games, not just 10

No truth in any of these rumors. :nea:
