Which one though? Folds Road or up back o' Hick Hargreaves near t'bus sheds when the Folds Rd one was demolished?

Went into the Folds Rd one a couple of times (straight opposite the Eagle & Vulcan - who on here remembers that fine drinking and gambling establishment?) and it was the start of a love affair with bluebeat, reggae and ska. The half caste and Jamaican lads we went in with were top lads but there were some real fooking notrights in there.

Was that near the Bolton Domino club?

Trying to remember where that was? Eagle & Vulcan and the original Ebony were very close to where St Peters Way crosses Folds Rd. (just a few hundred yards further up in the direction of Waterloo St., near to Folds Rd school).

Was the Domino Club up Bridgeman St.?

Yes and there was some sort of club next door to it.

We used to walk past going to and from Tech on Manny road, very shady.

I never went into the Ebony on Bridgeman St. Passed it a few times and recall that heading up Bridgeman St (with your back facing in the direction of the Painters Arms) the bus sheds were on your left and I'm pretty sure the Ebony was on your right on a corner, immediately across from the bus shed entrance. Was that the answer you were after? If it was owt like the Folds Rd. one, a cloud of ganja smoke billowed out every time the door opened!

He was one scary lookin' geezer in his prime

I know of someone who was dared by his mates to call him a 'big black rapist' once upon a time, Olly actually laughted when he said it :::::::lol:::::::

Spiders, Hull

Nibblers, Horwich - though their door policy was second to none - "Are you over 18?", "no", "well if the police come run out that door or hide under a table"

Nibblers, Horwich

As a former employee of said establishment, the main thing that made the place shit was the standard of clientele.

i heard once that this lad was in there, getting it on with some bird on the dance floor who proceeded to suck him off there and then

when the lights came on, turned out it was his auntie

most would dismiss this as b?ll?cks unless they've been to nibblers/horwich

I remember them. They weren't a bad side if I remember rightly. Slightly hot headed  but played some nice football. As I have been away for nearly 20 years now, it surprises me when somebody mentions people I know!

The Fubar in Stirling, rough as fcuk. The local jock boneheads don't like English obviously, have to stair down at your pint glass or shoes and avoid eye contact, and have to order your drinks in a fake Scottish accent.
