Burndens Bogs Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Went to one in the middle of a council estate in Oxford after we'd played out a 0-0 bore draw in the late 90's, none of the town centre bouncers would let us in the clubs because we were too pissed. The taxi driver warned us about this place "Arena" (I think) but we thought "fook it - it's only Oxford" Jeyzus - It made the Griffin look like fookin Stringfellows

Sweep Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Don't know what it was called, but it was a seedy little club in Shenzhen, one of my suppliers took me to it. I was the tallest person in there by quite a bit, and the only "white face" so I stood out like a sore thumb. A bevvy of young girls was then lined up in front of me, and I had to pick a couple to be my personal servants for the night. Each time I went to the loo, one of them came with me incase I wanted........as they put it.........."much pleasure" - this in itself is not uncommon in China, I only realised how odd the place was, when on the way out at about 3:00 in the morning, I noticed there was another room full of dirty old Chinese types watching the toilets and various other private rooms on CCTV. Basically anything you did was watched by old perverts who obviously knocked one out at their leisure in front of each other!
Sweep Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 failing that, I went to one in Burnley once (again, I can't remember the name) it had a very low ceiling and was very hot. At the end of the night, due to the heat, the ceiling was covered in sweat and condensation, and it had started dripping.......all over me and into my drink. A classy establishment, nobody else seemed bothered!

Even though I now live in Bury, I have to agree that the clubs have always been shite. For me the worst has to be any of the bottom floor / cellar clubs on the main Veronica's strip in Los Americas, Tenerife. Absolute dives that stank of piss.

We got in and it was rough as f?ck, manc & Salford scallies everywhere itching for a fight. To pass the time we kept ourselves amused by coming onto these fat mingers who were with some asylum-seekers, everytime they came towards us we'd just laugh in their faces..........for some reason they didn't quite get it :::::::::::: Failing that, Hippodrome in Benidorm, looked like it was waiting to be torn down & stunk to high heaven.
