With the new system, Vaz Te and Diouf will be used as wingers methinks. Vaz Te looked shithot on the wing against Santander, and Anelka looked much happier up front with someone alongside. Helugson is like-for-like with Davies, so he's the obv rotation player for Davies. With Vaz Te and Diouf on the wings, that leaves us Anelka, Harsyani, Davies and Helguson as out and out strikers. Not the worst 4 I could imagine.

Yes Zoltan himself, he's on a 4 year deal, an old codger I knows goes to every reserve game and rates him very highly and from what I've heard he's played pretty well in Korea so he must have something about him.

There is a big step up from Reserve level football to first team football. Maybe Sammy Lee doesn't think he is ready for the step up yet.

 

Also, you should remember that Diouf will probably go to the African Cup for between 4-6 weeks later in the season, which will leave us one short.

Anelka replacement. Triple Fact.

I've already been told 3 different fees for this lad. The truth is that no-one really knows at the moment. But i would plait shite if its anywhere near the ?2m mark.

 

The lad is very good in the air and is similar to Davies in the way his hussles defenders and works very hard for the team. The lad will do a good job for us i'm sure. Given the number of games we could have next season and the fact that we've never really had a replacements for KD when he's been out, this could be a good bit of business.

Next season we'll be competing in the Premier League, UEFA Cup, FA Cup & League Cup. When the injuries/suspensions hit during this busy season everyone will moan we haven't enough back-up.

 

Helguson is a good player, he's no Thierry Henry, but what do you epect for ?2m in todays climate (Chopra, Koumas, Richardson - all ?5m+ :::::::::: ).

 

I suspect a lot of people are posting having barely seen the lad play - didn't Sam make a bid for him a few year back and was put off by a hefty price tag?

I haven't see any of the Peace Cup games. Has Vaz Te played out wide in all of them? I think everyone will be happy if Vaz Te and Helgusson do well (obviously) and will be giving them a chance, I for one can't wait for 4-4-2 and given a change of system I hope they give Vaz Te a fair crack if he plays.

Nail, head and all that b0llocks. We must have more moaning coonts following us than any other club in the EPL. One minute it's 'where are the signings'and the next minute whingeing when we've made some. As pointed out earlier in this thread, we seriously miss KD when he is out and this is a good back up for my money. I doubt we'll have paid 2 mil but, even if we have, at todays stupid prices it would seem a good bit of business to me. Give it a few months and they'll be singing the Hulks praises on here for his work ethic.

Not really. I want him to do well and won't be slagging him off. However that doesn't mean I think he's good enough for us, I've always thought that he'll come good soon and become a good Premiership player. Problem is I'm still waiting and have come to the conclusion I was wrong.

maybe it shows that PG is backing Sam as in the past, other Sam would've had no money to buy back up strikers and currently be trawling South America looking for someone out of contract

 

?2M ain't that much in reality and it's allowed Sam to go out and get a lad who has a fair bit of prem experience and won't need to settle down etc

Not me mate - a couple of the London lads down here told me this morning that that's his nickname? Dunno meself like. They reckon he has a bit of a temperament problem and the 'red mist'comes down fairly often? I asked them did they not mean Hreidarrson or whatever he's called but they said definitely this bloke. Bear in mind these are Palace, Millwall and Spurs fans so it may be a load of old tat.
