What the fuuuck is all the smirking about in his interview after the game! I don't find losing 3-1 to an ex managers team feckin' funny!

Anyone else notice Spud Head trying to hide his smirk after their third went in?

Didnt see the smirking, still reeling over the suicide back pass to Jussi. What's all that about?

Saw MotD .....

Nolan reckoned NU played like we did last season - so why wasn't he (& the rest) ready for it ? What did they expect from a BSA team ?

Struck me straight away that there was nothing he should be smirking about after a 1-3 home defeat. What was all that about ?

It's called seeing the irony of it all. I suppose there's now going to be a witch hunt until you drive Nolan from the club. You all really do need to take this a little less seriously!

One thing really worth noticing last night was that, in a matter of months, and according to Shearer, BSA has gone from a "Hoof it" type of manager to an absolute footballing genius. Strange!

Talk Shite were commenting in the game yesterday, and Newcatle played a thoroughly entertaining high tempo game with 3 up front.

There were no long balls or throws, the ball got into the last 3rd with a high pressure approach which wouldnt give Bolton an inch.

Lighten up ! I'm asking what Nolan had to smirk about post-defeat, especially as captain. It's not what I'd expect from him.

"until you drive Nolan from the club" has got feck all to do with anything.

Perhaps the interviewer had cracked a joke then asked him the question, or maybe stelios had just ran up and thrown a custard pie in FSA's face.

We don't know what happened bar the 3 seconds on MOTD.

But I doubt very much that he finds the result funny.

Me lighten up? Have a go at re-reading your post then see who needs to lighten up. My guess is that if Nolan wasn't laughing he'd be crying. I'd settle for my Captain laughing rather than crying on National TV!

give the man a break they can edit those interviews and like mickey says better laughin than wanting to kill himself over it, he'll try harder from now on, i just hope that his daughter starts sleeping through the nights bcoz i recon that contributed to a few of his poor performances last campaign.

Nolan was shite yesterday. Cant remember the last decent game he had. maybe a a couple of games on the bench might do him good and give him the kick up the arse he needs. Not convinced he's comfortable wide right to be fair to the lad but IMO he's not fit enough to get box to box in centre of midfield for 90mins.

I'm sure Nolan will be giving 100% again in the rest of the games he plays in, but I don't think Little Sam will be too happy about that interview which made out that Allardyce was tactically better than him.

His loyalty for Big Sam went one step too far, unless he is sending out a message that he would like to play for Newcastle instead of us.

nolan is not a 4-4-2 player, if this is going to be how we proceed it will have to mean him being dropped I reckon

he can't tackle and he can't pass so he's reundant if we're playing wingers

it is also why he has never been picked for England

He was bobbins with the rest of them in the first half, but I thought he played pretty well in the second half. I've always maintained Nolan can't play in a 4-4-2, but I'd play him in the middle of midfield before I'd see Speed and McCann play there together again.

And his pass for the goal was top class.

There, I've said something positive about the skipper (though I was spitting fury when I saw him on MOTD).

That very nearly made me pee myself then!

At-least Spud Head was trying to hide the smirk. Anyone in his position would want to smirk, no doubt about it.

As for Nolan it was only one match, not the end of the world.

Which back pass was that?

To be fair I always thought Shearer and Hansen on MOTD were fair in their appraisal of us under Allardyce.
