I have seen nothing in CID to suggest he is a first choice Premiership Centre Back.

 

On the first goal he had somehow got dragged over to the left back area, leaving Hunt trying to deal with 2 players in the centre.

 

On the second what is a centre back doing trailing in the shirt tails of a striker from the half way line. The only excuse for that is in the last 5 minutes of a game when we are looking for a late goal.

 

On the third, fair enough the game had gone but he did get himself the wrong side of the Portsmouth player.

You may be right Yatesy, but I believe Centre Half is one position where if you are not protected by your teammates, you can be made to look a fool.

 

You'll never see Terry and Carvalho dragged all over the place like our boys because they always have someone in front of them, so they stay close together and in position.

 

Cid has looked top drawer in terms of composure and ball playing ability but if it turns out he can't defend, then that's clearly no use. Bit early to tell IMO.

At this late stage of the transfer window, I doubt we would get better than Campo but for some reason he is totally out of favour with LSL. I suppose we have the lad Dzemali to come into the holding role.

Cid..you heard it hear first..he will come good. Thought the penalty was harsh, unless Im going blind he got the ball before the man.

 

Campo - need him back in the team ASAP. Think he engenders our team spirit and is a much bigger influence than we give him credit for.

Nice thought but I don't fancy Hunt on Hunt this Saturday. The Pixie version took the piss out of the lad from Daisy Hill last season, we need defensive cover to stop a repeat.

After weve seen the team sheet on saturday i reckon we will be able to tell whether sammy lee has a clue or not depending on his choices.

I dont think hunt has done too bad this season but he needs some competition to give him a kick up the arse. His only competiton is sinclair really and he isnt very experienced so he he will usually get the nod in front of him.
