Official Trip

I've booked with the official day-trip through tmg sport (yeah, I know - the wimp's way, but I've no choice).

I've had the booking confirmed, now I'm waiting for confirmation that the trip is going ahead - plus the travel details.

Anyone got any further info on this ?

It'll go ahead, don't worry.

The TMG plane should go even though I do know it's just over half full which is pretty poor compare to 2 years ago when every wanted to go to Bulgaria.

They have a slightly bigger plane than the one WanderersWays where putting on so they can afford to cut the cost slightly as more numbers means a bigger margin.

You should should be fine. Everyone needs to get booking early as these decisions can make or break plans and planes taking off.

If anyone is in doubt, get it booked and get behind the lads.

Come on you whites =D>

Traf and Happy - let me congratulate you both on a supportive post.

I thought Rembrandt would have had the piss took on daring to mention a booking on the BWFC TMG trip when the WW Happy Tours plane is still available.

I thought so too ..... :drinks:

But I also thought, based on two years ago, BOTH trips would get booked up. I was one of the 450 or so at Besiktas, and I don't remember problems more or less filling the plane(s) then.

FFS. What's heppened o the Whites fans this season ???

When do the missing fans think they'll next get the chance to support BWFC in Europe ?

Here's my 2p:

Loads of people really struggled finding decent flights for this and have all paid over ?200 for flights alone. ALL the companies offering trips were too late in announcing prices. BWFC in their infinite wisdom decided to undercut Happy by offering a ticket into the bargain, which although business is business, is outrageous behaviour. Fortunately the plane is still only half full because they weren't prompt enough in announcing travel details. I hope they get stung and lose an awful lot of money. Blackburn aren't even running an official trip to Larissa, I suspect BWFC will think twice next time too.

I hope that BWFC remember this when we draw a plum away tie and the corporate whores crawl out of the woodwork.

To be fair the answer to that is "in the group stage". I think what has put people off is a combination of cost, the perceived nature of the place (though the Macedonian lads coming on here have laid any fears on that front to rest) and the fact that we really, really should get through this over 2 legs.

Last time no credit was given to people who had done Istanbul/Bulgaria when it came to Marseille tickets. Wasn't it Everton vouchers you needed? This needs to be addressed this time round.

You're having a laugh there!

The club (and players) are so distant from the fans these days. Look at what Squidgy put about South Korea. They didn't bother to go over to the 10 or so fans. I for one ain't arsed if they do or don't, but I don't feel attached any more to BWFC. IMO I think they'd probably be happier if none of us went over there.

Yep, myself and 3 on the 'Tufty' Club trip, only viable option to us after Happy cancelled.

Just went on the TMG Website and as of now there are 57 places left on the plane (I assume its the 1st plane, cant see it being a second one), not sure how many seats the plane has but its some way of being full. Today is the last day for season ticket holders to book. Its then open to all others. I would assume over the weekend the plane will be full, fingers crossed. I would hope the plane still goes even if there are some seats left!!

If only 1 plane + independants I would estimate a following of 400 - 500, piss poor really as it may be BWFC last ever trip to Europe (hoping not - but could be).

They only undercut Happy by ?3 if you pay by credit card (3% surchrage of cards) , I've booked with them because I wnat to go but I would have prefered to have gone with Happy, and if hes does trips again I will go with him instead of the club

I thought the club released their price first.

No

and are in a position to subsidise theirs by overcharging on the match tickets

not that they would, of course

I've also had to book with TMG after the Happy flight cancellation. Its the only sensible option - there is too much cost and fannying around doing it independently now, especially as I expect us to go through

.........sad I know, but heres the latest count - now only 44 places left on the plane. Filling up nicely.

Confirmation

That's a bit harsh. For one I doubt there's any club in the country that bases it's prices around an unofficial supporters group, & if the club had priced it more expensive than the WW trip then everybody would have been slagging them off for being money grabbers.

I was on the WW trip but am now on the TMG trip +2.

I was refering to them exploiting their monopoly on tickets to make theirs more attractive.

I think this is what Carlos is getting at:

BWFC announced their deal after happy named his price. They undercut him by a tenner ( which he instantly matched), but they offer a free match ticket.

The free ticket has a perceived value of ?12, but it's only cost them ?2.

Gotcha. Think Hazzy was stressing that in his opinion no pro football club would base its costs around those of an independent tour organised by a website forum. I guess we'll never really know. It depends on how poorly sales went before they threw in the match ticket.

me and 3 others booked on the official trip friday, and I must say I enjoyed last years official trips to plovdiv and besiktas better than going under my own steam to all the other games. tartan rug is ready, jar of humbugs ready, skopkje here we come.

As anyone had confirmation that they are on the trip yet. I've booked but I dont hold any off the offical cards (season ticket etc)

Oddly, the printed advert what comes with the Raboknicki ticket says the trip is ?317 and that a package including ticket is available at ?324.

Only 5 seats left!

Hurry, hurry, hurry! It's like the DFS sale.
