Over SEVEN THOUSAND missing fans in two seasons, and i know for sure they aren't ALL jcl's who've f?cked off.

I suspect there would have been a few Chelsea fans in the Bolton end.

 

But there are still less fans turning up..

Crowds are down at most clubs. There's always a fair few empty seats at City even though they're doing well. Chelsea had 17,000 empty seats at their last home game in the CL and even Utd had 15,000 empty seats against Coventry in the League Cup.

City's capacity is 48k, they're managing 39k if the away fans bring a lot.

 

We're down there with Blackburn & Wigan now, Pompey would have far more than us if their gound was bigger (but even they have empty seats on occasion).

 

Think a lot of people are just sick of the Reebok, the stewards seem determined to ruin any atmosphere in the ESL now & yesterday an hour wait was the average if you were getting the train back to Bolton.

 

Mind you, less scally kids about yesterday so I thought you'd all be happy? :p

A huge proportion of them are not our supporting future, because it won't be kids for ?1 every week.

Wanderers fans have always been fickle.

We've been over this already BUT - at least they're trying to entice future support, just a shame that everyone moans about crowds and then moan that the nasty schoolboys are badly behaved. Looked at the North Upper now, even the families aren't bothering anymore, there's even more future support dwindling.

 

We'll be averaging less than 20k next season for sure, doubt the Championship will add any to our already mediocre crowds.

The reason that there was only 20k on yesterday vs chelsea ( one of the biggest teams in europe if not the world) is becasuse the game was on a sunday. For me perssonaly i couldnt give a shitee but for other people it seems to be a big issue! i bet you if the game was on a sat at 3 it would be a differnt story . fact!

Think a lot of Bolton fans have become complacent with how lucky we are. Most wish we were back near the top of the league (although a relegation battle does give a better buzz )

 

And as soon as we drop out of the league, we will be again wishing we were back.

Young lad in ESL got thrown out yesterday - his crime was to stand and sing, with a few expletives thrown in here and there.

I don't think he offended anyone. But yet again, the extraction squad where called in to eject him. This was after 3/4 baseball-capped lads had been asked under the stand for a quiet word - once again, they'd be standing and singing.

 

It would seem apparent that you can now be charged with "Creating an atmosphere inside a football stadia".

 

And why the f?ck do we still have Cat A+ games at the Reebok when we cannot sell out local derbies?????

BWFC (And football in general) decided to attract families to the game and put them infront of the people who have been attending games for over 100 years. ie working class blokes who attend the game to let off a bit of steam after a week at work.

 

There is only one way the club are going, on and off the field, that is down.

 

The club is run by people who dont understand what fans want. It is run by people who have never stood in piss on the terraces. They haven't a scooby doo.

was brought up watching wanderers when we were in lower divisions and for me it was fantastic, proper fans who knew everybody on the terrace,good atmosphere both home and away,you could stand/sit were you wanted without over zealous stewarding, the club actually valued you.players who wanted to play for bolton and not some money grabbing tosspot who's not arsed about us.

I went to Chorley vs FC United 2 weeks ago and had a better day than many a game at the Reebok.

Fact, I have a season ticket, but if I didn't Sunday football is far preferable and much more likely all other things being equal that I would be there. Fact.

Personally, i believe it is a combination of economics (i.e. the cost of heating, food, mortgages, petrol etc), fan apathy (and I am included in this because our board are shite, allardyce was successful but with no flair), and football itself (the premiership is the most expensive league to watch as a fan, run my people who know that they actually do not need fans anymore, as they make more money away from fans)...it is sad but true HOWEVER, it will be interesting to see the Carling Cup attendance against City now that tickets are ?10
