After watching MOTD after our draw at Derby i was well pissed off as we were last on and it showed a whole 40 seconds of the game. So i abused the bbc and after all this time i received this email:

Thank you for your e-mail regarding 'Match of the Day'.

I understand that you feel the above programme is biased towards Bolton Wanderers Football Club as they are covered later in the programme and that you feel the coverage afforded to them is not long enough.

The running order for each edition is determined by the day's big stories, talking points and most entertaining games. There is certainly no perceived bias to put a team higher or lower in the running order.

Our intention with the programme is to provide a more comprehensive review of Saturday's Premiership action. In order to achieve this, we send a commentator to each match and broadcast longer match edits. We aim to never show less than five minutes of a match - gone are the days when a match may have been summed up in a 30" voiceover in a round-up at midnight. It's interesting to note that over time supporters from a number of different clubs contact us about the placement of their team in the programme. It proves that we cannot please all the fans all the time.

I would like to assure you that we have registered your comments on our audience log. This is the internal report of audience feedback which we compile daily for all programme makers and commissioning executives within the BBC, and also their senior management. It ensures that your points, and all other comments we receive, are circulated and considered across the BBC.

I hope this information is useful to you and would like to thank you, once again, for taking the time to contact the BBC.

Regards

F?ck the Beeb, Crag O'Connor out!

Number of times teams have filled the MOTD graveyard slot this season:

4 Wigan

2 Fulham

2 Bolton

2 Reading

2 Aston Villa

2 Derby

2 West Ham

1 Birmingham

1 Everton

1 Middlesbrough

1 Newcastle

It seems to be reflective of the opening of the program, how much do you see of bolton in the opening titles?

does it really matter what time we're on?

Bolton Vs Derby is hardly a big draw, more people want to see what happens at the 'bigger' clubs so hence why it's always those that are the major games on MOTD.

what does get on my tits with motd and they do it with bigger games than just bolton is when something key to the game happens and doesn't get a mention.

MOTD should shake up the games they feature. Give every club fair coverage.

I dont watch MOTD anymore if I can help it. Rather watch Football first where you can choose who you watch and then they summarise all the games after.

MOTD has been shite for a few years IMO

for a while they had a 'bigger' game on last which kinda spread out the interest and seemed a good idea.

That's ITV's remit because they have advertisers to pander to. The BBC are supposed to be impartial which is why in the olden days when MOTD only featured TWO games, they would show Ipswich playing Wolves, or Coventry playing Derby, for instance. It wasn't always Liverpool or Man Utd every week like ITV.

MOTD is there for glory-hunting w?nkstains who support Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea & other clubs who's supporters chose to follow a successful club, as opposed to one they had any sort of connection with.

Who gives a f?ck if they'd rather talk about Michael Owen returning from injury every single f?cking week - that's obviously more important than Diouf getting fouled in the area against one of the big four.

The BBC are far from impartial, BBC news is like a Labour love-in

I think this is all linked in to the thread about BWFC attendances - it shows the changing shift of the general public's attitude towards football.

Man Utd & Chelsea players etc fill the gossip columns of papers and magazines and the general public feed off this sh?te and want to see these "celebrities".

It's another reason why so many Boltonians etc support Utd, Liverpool etc - they've become so accessible and they're forever on SkySports or MOTD.

Most people would rather watch a turgid Man Utd v Chelsea game than a cracking Fulham v Wigan match; shame but that's the reality.

F?ck MOTD, F?ck the BBC. Match Choice is the future (and the present)

I still enjoy MOTD, yes its annoying that Bolton are on last but strangly ive not been too bothered about that this season!

Watching 90 minutes in the afternoon has been quite enough thanks

I prefer Bolton to be the last game shown on MOTD.

It means I've got half a chance to see it when I roll out of bed on Sunday.

dont you just sky plus it and watch the bits you want in the morning ?

when it works! mine goes off everytime it rains or is a it overcast. when i rang them they said nothing they can do about it, it happens when the weather is bad? not great for a country where its always pi**ing down!!!

This isn't good enough. If this was the case we would all have problems with our sky plus boxes. Tell 'em to stick it and go to virgin

thinking about it! whats the crack with virgin? my contracts up with sky so i can just bugger off when i want!!

There's no cable where I live, it's a right backwater. I'm sure Sky will know this and so I have zero bargaining tools. Also, I had to pay a fortune to have the dish fitted as I live in bottom of a dip & dishes are only allowed on chimney pots too, not the frontage.

Does anyone else get a letter from sky every year detailing the charges you may get if you dont take up the service contract or extended warranty with them.

Not kidding you, I get one every year, never sign up and 2 or 3 weeks later to the day; something goes wrong with my sky box. Something fishy I think. This time I keep dropping channels, they say its my box - I say bollocks - I pay for these channels the fact that your equipment / signal drops them is your fuckin problem pedro. Doesnt get me anywhere - its a con though.

With a Sky Digibox it's easy. Record it, find Bolton, watch for a couple of mins on Sunday morning. Delete

I don't watch us on MOTD or Sky Football First when we lose as it just deepens the depression. I just fast forward using my Sky Plus. It goes without saying that I have not seen much of the Wanderers on TV this season.

By the way Sky Plus has got to be the best gadget I have ever owned. Got one from day one when you had to pay a tenner a month and rarely have problems with it. If you are having problems as soon as it rains then it sounds like your dish is not in exact alignment. I only get problems if it absolutely belts it down during a storm. And I mean absolutely belting it down.

i'm glad this is all we have to moan about
