what's an assistant (performance director) ??? good to see that bwfc clarified his role and when exactly will he absolve his duties at wolves?

I'd be interested to see if he's got his achievements at Wolves on his CV.

Sorry, I tried to post the information yesterday when the news broke down here, but got a database error, he is held in the highest regard at Wolves and I hope he does a good job for you. I believe he became good friends with Megson when they did their EUFA Pro license together a few years ago. He is the Academy director at Wolves and has worked for Wolves for 17 years. He has set up what is regarded as one of the best academies in the country. He is considered to be a top class coach and organiser and a man of great integrity.

It has produced 50% of their first team squad, and has generated some tidy transfer fees, most notably Keane (?6m to Coventry) and Lescott (?5m to Everton).

 

I'd settle for a repeat of those figures in ten years time, that's for sure.

Is Steve Carroll hugely succesful in producing players for 4th division reserve teams or is someone else in charge of that now?

Steve Carroll was at Citeh last season as Gumbo was coaching with him.

My Grandpa is Warrington born and bred, but went to Thornleigh boarding school. They would walk down to Burnden every home game so he became a life long fan and took my mum to 70 league grounds. Apparently there a quite a few Wanderers fans knocking about in Warrington.

Speaking to a mate of mine who is Wolves and he says Evans is top quality.
