Maybe this is why they are being held in the Hotel,

Belgrade - Thousands of tiny frogs rained on a town in northwestern Serbia, Belgrade daily Blic reported on Thursday.

Strong winds brought storm clouds over Odzaci, 120km north-west of Belgrade, on Sunday afternoon, but instead of rain, down came the tiny amphibians, witnesses said.

"I saw countless frogs fall from the sky," said Odzaci resident Aleksandar Ciric.

The frogs, different from those usually seen in the area, survived the fall and hopped around in search of water.

Belgrade climatologist Slavisa Ignjatovic described the phenomenon as "not very unusual".

"A wind resembling a tornado can suck in anything light enough from the surface or shallow water. Usually it is just dust, but sometimes also larger objects," Ignjatovic told Blic. - Sapa-dpa

just had a text off a mate over there they arrived at the ground and said it's very intimidating then some bolton fans started to sing i'd rather be a croat than serb

bit like being up the falls road and and singing i'd rather be a prod than a taig.

And the Serbian Police will wonder why it kicks off during/after the match after keeping the fans as prisoners for 7 hours.

mate of mine was rouned up at 2.30am this morning taken back to their hotel..

13 of them are staying there...

they had met up with the girls from Partisan, they were approached outside a bar..one of these guys said they had been speaking to English off the internet

they are in a boozer a sports bar in the city..with riot police there "to protect them"..the copper also said that he felt red star wanted to fight them not the bolton fans..comforting.

he says he knows nothing of the two stabbings although there are rumours..

they can go where they want..but they have decided to stay put..

he walked past a boozer mid afternoon which was populated by a large number of red star fans...

fingers crossed they are all home safely.

fooking armed cops everywhere!!

well done to all the attenders :drinks: :drinks: =D> =D>

I wish them all a safe return. :good:

First ever Brit team to win in Serbia, safe journey home lads and lasses.

Even NATO didnt manage that.

Interestingly I was browsing the b92 website linked earlier in the thread and there was reference to a fight between Speedo and Miete in training yesterday! I wonder who won that one ( if its true).

Meite doesn't have an amphetamine problem does he?

We were put into an absolute sh?thole where there was a monopoly on the beer / prices etc and if we tried to "escape" we were brought back by armed police.

Was a total stitch up.

Even independent travelling supporters (including Ray Von and Big E) were herded up as they landed at the airport and stuck with us - not allowed near their own hotel.

Will comment more when I've caught up on some work :good:

fcuk the work. Comment more now! :D

Just imagine how bad it could have been if you would have taken 3000 over ??

Just hope everyone returns ok!!!

Have em youth :drinks:

Bolton councillor John Walsh travelled to Belgrade to watch the match, but managed to evade Serbian police by staying at his hotel until the game.

He said: "What has happened here is quite horrendous. The fans have been treated monstrously.

"I have contacted the office of William Hague, the Shadow Foreign Secretary, and will be speaking to him tomorrow. This is a diplomatic matter which needs to be dealt with at the highest level.

So why's he going to the shadow FS, and not the Foreign Secretary?

isn't walsh a tory boy?

I spoke to a United fan today, who goes everywhere watching them. He says United have been treated like this for years, so its nothing new!!!

But to me that just make sit even worse, its been going on for this long, and NOTHING has been done about it !?!?!

Gartside missed a golden opportunity to win some folk over by not addressing the Bolton fans.

Fair play to him for turning up at the hotel where we were detained, but when I asked him why he didn't do it he said that he feared he would've been slaughtered by us.

Now this shows that he knows he's lost a few supporter's backing, but also illustrates he doesn't have faith in his ability to lead from the front as a chairman and deal with arkward situations.

When I told him i believed he was making a mistake and it was a missed opportunity to win over a few of us by simply having the balls to address us even if only to reiterate what the Red Star official had said - we wanted to hear it from BWFC, he simply shyed away from it and said "give me a call when we get back and we'll have a coffee".

What a sh?tty, standard, weak, cowardice response. He bought some drinks and thought that was enough - Phil you lost points with me last night and I've been one of your backers.

He also told a couple of supporters that Anelka is nailed on to be on his way in January, I think we knew that already but this was from the horse's mouth so as to speak

I hope you reminded him that we'll be NAILED ON TO GO DOWN, if the club sell him in Jan <_<
