Plenty, but it has to be winning at Lpool, 1992/3, with Andy Walker uplike a salmon etc

Whilst we are at it, the worst, Deano semi final miss, of course.

Drawing United away in 91, the tie everyone wants.

Best - Liverpool away as mentioned above

Worst - either holdsworths miss or Pattersons backpass

I wasn't alive when it happened but I get a lump in my throat every time the Ronnie Radford Hereford goal is shown on Tv.

Everything about it is what football should be.

Yes. We played Villa in the semi-final at Wembley.

Please could you be a little more clear about what you're on about? Thanks.

I think he means that if we'd beaten Oldham (Patterson's backpass) then we'd have played united at wembley in the semi final.

Thanks ex-Leeds.

Typing clear, understandable, punctuated English does make reading this board less of a chore for some of us.

jesus how bad is the pitch? I dunno how they played on it in them days, having said that the last season at burnden the pitch/sandpit was worse.

you meant "if we had beaten Oldham at Burnden, when Patterson passed it back and we lost one-nil, we would have played United in the semi, at Wembley".

Semis at Wembley don't count, whoever they're against. Sorry. I'm of the firm belief that, should we ever play United in an FA Cup semi-final, it should be played at Goodison, or Anfield, or COM. And yes, I know that the FA have prostituted the FA Cup in order to pay for Wembley, but it's WRONG, WRONG, WRONG.

Our entire clubs' fortunes could have changed if Owen Coyle had not scores an equaliser against Gretna. They pissed all over us and I stayed behind with many fans at the end to applaud them off. Our subsequent cup runs were the foundations to sign the likes of David Lee etc and biuld the club we have today.

Owen Coyle I salute you.

At the Augustiner singing "Owen Coyle" etc was great. Our next manager?

best - Arsenal away 1994

worst - Deano

2nd best - Soton away, going ahead

2nd worst - Soton away, Barry Horne equalising

i know we played Sutton Coldfield in the 1st round in 92/93 cos one of their men scored from

halfway or a long way out iirc. but who did we play round two stattos?

No prizes i just dont know the answer :good:

Running down the motorway to get to Elland Rd v Newcastle.

did we lose that 1 one nil to mark hughes goal on 82ish?????

i think thats the game when philliskirk had 2 glories chances but skied both and out we went.

I salute Owen Coyle too

I'm sure we had David Lee by then and we were already a club on the up without a doubt*

Though that season we did play and beat Everton, Arsenal, Villa...so thank christ we squeaked past Gretna

But that side was premiership bound eventually, cup run or not, Branagan, McAteer, Stubbs, Lee, McGinlay, Thompson etc were all on the books at that stage
