When he was appointed, we were staring relegation in the face and the board decided to appoint not someone with a track record of Prem survival (jewell) but someone who had a record of getting teams up.

No we weren't.

No we weren't.

In which case we ain't now then <_<

No we weren't.

We were.

We was bottom of the league, even Derby were above us.

People were posting stuff on here saying we were going down.....in October.

In which case we ain't now then <_<

When he was appointed there was still three quarters of the season remaining and this is probably the weakest Premier League since we were promoted. Plenty of time to get it right.

In short i love our club but would deffo start going again regularly if we went down. Megson is the most negative prick to ever take charge of BWFC,cant beleive how much i hate him. I though under Phil Neal at times we were shyte but not a patch on recent events. As i have said before many times i didnt renew my season ticket this year for 1st time since 1992, Why?? My kids aged 11 and 9 begged me not to have to take them again this season and have both been going since they were 3.

The championship would excite me and them again, fact not fabrication

Just seen Phil Brown on SSN. He still thinks we're going to survive. Shame he's not giving the team-talk on Wednesday!

Chris Coleman thinks 35 points will be enough this season, which probably means that every team above Reading are practically safe already which is pretty much how the bookies see it as well.

Citeh, Wet Spam, and Sunnyland all at home, are three must win games!

If we don't get 9 points from these, I really think we will drop, I know this aint rocket science, but i can't see where another win would come from. (L'Arse at home could be any result admittedly!)

Colchester 1-3 Hull

Hull City maintained their promotion push by beating 10-man Colchester.

U's defender Phil Ifil was shown a straight red card on 16 minutes for a trip on Hull striker Fraizer Campbell.

And Campbell took advantage of a fumble by U's goalkeeper Dean Gerken to put the Tigers ahead before meeting Henrik Pedersen's cross to make it 2-0.

Kevin Lisbie replied for the home side with a sweet finish from the edge of the area but Caleb Folan ran clear late on to seal victory for Hull.

Phil Brown spends more time talking about Bolton than Hull! He's just been on TalkSport defending Kevin Davies against Fergie's usual attempt to influence the ref ahead of the game. Kept referring to Bolton as 'we'. When's he coming back to the club? I get the feeling he'd walk all the way from Hull to manage the club.

he's a sh?t manager

Has he ever even been a manager?

Has he ever even been a manager?

aye, some 2 bob recruitment office in manc

We will get someone sent off tonight <_<

Yes I think he would walk from Hull to Bolton, I would have liked him to have a few more year managing somewhere elas before he came to us , but if we end up going down then we have nothing to lose

Brown must have the best record of a care-taker boss at Bolton never to go onto manage the club on a permanent basis (...yet)?

George - over to you to prove that statement correct or not?

He lost one of his matches (away at Wolves)

Nat Lofthouse had a 100% winning record as caretaker in 85/86....it was over less matches though.

Out of interest, what was Brown's record as care-taker?

Didn't Gartside tell PB to take the Derby job because he would never be the Bolton manager. I bet that he is looking anxiously at the Championship table now.

Think that we could do a lot worse like at the mo. Doesn't say much for his assessment of people.

The longer time goes by, the better Brown looks as a future Bolton manager.

It is a shame Gartside never made the same statement about another of FSA assistants: Sammy Lee.

I think it was Gartside and Big Sam who both thought he wouldn't cut it as Bolton's next manager at that time

and you could argue that Browny proved them right at Derby, had to go back to being a no 2 before getting this chance now

it was also Big Sam who earmarked little Sam as a potential successor
