The Fat Lady

So were Derby and Wigan and Fulham and Brum and Sunderland (away)

and utd(home) reading (away) etc weren't..

whats the point in turning up if your theory's right..

villa are no better than a lot around us and we 'should' have nothing to fear..

We are down, people need to stop wearing Ivan Campo wigs, singing Ginger Mourinho and move on.

Talk about being pessimistic!! Jesus!

We outplayed one of the best footballing teams in the league on saturday for 60 mins. I know it all went t!ts up after they scored but that is why they are 2nd in the league and were 3rd from bottom. They have far better players than us. Simple as. I don't think anybody seriously thought we could have got anything from the game before it had kicked off. I know i certainly didn't. So we can just dwell on the fact we lost or we can stand up and be counted until the last ball is kicked at chelsea. Then and ONLY then we can start to slagg off players, the manager, the chairman and every other bloody person related to the club in some form.

Yes were 4 points behind the team above us but it's back to 1 point margin IF we beat Villa and Brum lose. The fact of the matter is that we are NOT down yet. We need to stick with them lads/lasses and hope that little bit of luck coems our way. It's looking bleek but it's not over yet. CUMMON YOU WHITE MEN!!

Logical thinking like that will have us winning the league.

IF only Davies had equalised at United

IF only Cahill had made it 3-0 against Arsenal

IF only the ref had given us a penalty for handball at Wigan

IF IF IF IF IF IF

I praise you for your eternal postive nature but it is time to wake up. Blackpool here we come.

If she's not singing yet she's certainly in the dressing room waiting to hear, "Two minutes to stage time Miss McManus!"

I kno where you're coming from Yatesy but these things have all happened. Us beating Villa and Brum losing has not yet happened. But i suppose that is the difference between being and optimist and pesimist/half empty or half full etc...

We've jus gotta hope the guy upstairs givs us a little bit of luck and try n stay positive. I'm starting to sound like a bloody preist now so i'le stop.

CUMMON YOU WHITES!!!! ROLL ON D-DAY - SATURDAY

I am veering between pessimism and optimism so frequently its making me feel a bit sick.

I can see Brum losing their next 4 games (Wigan A, Everton H, Villa A, Lpool H) so we would only need 5 pts from the next 4 games to go above them - beat W Ham and draw at Villa and Boro (or win at one of them).

Come on guys the infamous Fat Lady is not singing yet.

We are not down and out until the last kick of the game.

Two wins on the bounce and you will all be cheering the Super Whites back on again.

Give it a rest....we've had the same sort of posts for the last 4 weeks and what's happened? The same spineless players have given up as soon as they go a goal down. The only way to get rid of Megson and to ensure a player clearout is to lose every game until the end of the season. Hate to say it, but true.

Well said, Callie.

A dumper truck has picked up and deposited her in the wings, let's hope she stays there!

I'll let you know after the Sunderland game, a lot of people are getting a bit too excited at the moment. Either way, I'd like to see the back of both of them.

Think we all be glad when this season is over. =D>

Last 2 games have cheered us all up mind yer. :good:

I'm with you.

We have turned from a suicide site to rampant celebrations in the space of 8 days.

I had us written off after Lisbon and Wigan, with the Arsenal and Villa defeats being the final nails in the coffin.

Fair play to the lads to have responded with the last two wins BUT please don't get carried away girls and boys - this all has the potential of being a repeat of the last time we suffered relegation; going to Chelsea with fate in our own hands and we froze.

we need it sorting before Chelsea (i.e. beat Sunderland and hope Reading lost both their next two)

if we go to Chelsea needing anything, based on most of our performances this year, we'll be coming back empty handed, and not because we freeze

dont think we will get ought at spurs,

but hopefully beat sunderland and results go our away,

im not getting to carried away

we've got a chance now to get out off it,we all thought we was doomed a couple of week ago,

we need to take it....

Its now in our hands, if we do what we have to do (4 points from 3 games) then it does not matter what Reading or Brum do.

if they both win their last 3 then 4 points wouldn't keep us up

we have to do better than them both, if not just better than reading

Before WHU game I'd have thought 9 points was beyond us the way we'd been playing. Another 3 from the remaining games WILL be enough!

im coming around to that too

one win

This Saturday and we could even be safe before the Sunderland game; then it could be just party time.

I was utterly convinced we were gone after Villa and I have no worries about admitting that, I was absolutely certain

Now I think 3 will do it, 4 I'm sure will

As for next year if we do stay up...well, we'll worry about that next year

The fat lady has stopped warming up, she's gone for some nosebag and hopefully she'll choke on it.

Hadn't thought of it that way, how good would that be!
