Leeds Leeds Leeds

...get their 15 points back? Hearing is this week (tomorrow I think).

If they succeed they'll be in 2nd spot on 82 points above Carlisle with a game in hand on Swansea... who having celebrated promotion last weekend, would now need to win promotion again!!!

10 point deduction seems reet to me

shouldn't

chatting with a sports lawyer the other day who assured me that they had "no chance"

I think twisting the rules on the last day of the season by going into administration, will be Leeds undoing. Then again, West Ham got away.

Feck 'em.

Punishment is suppose to hurt. I would love to get a ?30 reduction for my next speeding ticket. Can't go choosing something that suits you.

But, can't blame them for trying.

Agree with Casino, IMO they can appeal over getting 5 points back as they went into Administration and the rules have been applied to everybody else as a 10 point deduction.

Dirty Leeds, take 15 more off 'em!

i think they should get them back, maybe just the 10 that got took off them the season before

They should be given an extra 10 point deduction, for bringing a 'frivilous' appeal, a la Aliadiere.

Seems fair.

Ken Bates and Leeds - they deserve more than 15 points.

thing is leeds lost 25 points for going into admin, 10 last season 15 this, bit harsh imo

Losing 10 points last season after they had already been relegated was no punishment so that can be ignored.

didn't rotherham do the same season previous?

Leeds in a different situation, as it has nothing to directly to do with administration. The 15 point deduction iwas imposed by the Football league (nowt to do with the FA) because Leeds United 2007 didn't have a CVA in place and were not bona fide members of the League, and so the FL withheld their Golden Share. The 15 point deduction was made by Ken Bates and the FL to enable Leeds to participate this season. I don't see how Bates can fight this, as they legally signed the document agreeing to this. All this was caused by them going into administration, which delayed the CVA which then meant they legally could not participate in this seasons Div 1 season......Boston had the same issue and were relegated two divisions...imagine Leeds playing the conference!

bostons problem was increased because the conference teams they had cheated wouldn't have em back

or so my memory tells me

something along those lines, their manager was involved as well if memory serves.

Point is on all this, Leeds agreed to the 15 point penalty so that they could start the season, and now are claiming they were hard done by......now if they were Man U, they'd probably get away with it

They'd get their 15 points back for sure if they were Man Utd with another 10 on top for compensation and a bye to the 5th round of the FA Cup.

looks like they've had their appeal rejected.

   leeds got fucked off

Good.

Good decision.

If they were so bothered about it, why did they not appeal at the start of the season. They'll probably end up getting promoted anyway.

They did.

I hope they lose at Wembley to a last minute own goal.
