If we stay up, hes done the job that was asked off him, so IMHO he should be allowed the same number off games that Sammy Lee was allowed, give him a chance with a clean sheet as opposed to having one hand tied behind is back, which is what it must of seemed like when he took over.

I strongly strongly strongly disagree that Megson should be sacked if we survive the drop. When Megson came I believe we were bottom of the league with 5 points(correct me if I'm wrong I'm not 100% sure). He changed from the attacking formation that Sammy Lee adopted to 'back to basics' football that Allardyce used so well to get us into europe.

Also any Bolton manager that beats manU will do for me and deserves a second chance. We also played well at Old Trafford but didn't get much praise for it. We attacked well and created a fair amount of chances.

I believe there are better managers out there than Gary Megson of course, and he has definately made mistakes, but I also think that he was the best man for the job at the time , this is because presuming Mourinho didn't want to settle down near farnworth the other only available contenders were Coleman (I wouldn't have minded but a bit young yet to deal with the big egos, and didn't do the business with quite a lot of money to spend) and Steve Bruce inferior to Megson in my view and a moonik reject which always knocks a few points off in my book.

Fans turned against him after the Lisbon away thing - but prior to that - he was doing OK. I'll go as far as saying Portsmouth and Athletico at home are among the best home performances I've seen from the Whites in the last 10 years?

Maybe they both was just trying it on cause he was a new manager,however both have come out and said that THEY was in the wrong so he must have some influence!!However im still in the middle with this one,as if he keeps us up then he deserves another chance,only thing im worried about is if after ten games it's another Sammy Lee and were playing catch up the rest of the season!
