There was a large group of us that from 89ish onwards were at it every week probably for the next 3ish years...all of us were match lads...but for those 5 ish years the football came behind getting sorted for the weekend and deciding which club we were going to...numerous in Blackpool..Oz, Sequins, the one under the tower, the one opposite Oz...jesus those E's have wrecked my memory...occasionally it was Blackburn to Monroe's...Wigan Pier...051 in Liverpool...then cream...Pleasuredrom..then Bowlers (which was the signal of the end)....even terrace differences were put aside when you were "luved up"....do remember having it with wigan on the pleasure drome car park...and being with some moody bolton lads when we got turned over by the same lot in a club ???? in Oswaltwistle i think...

 

I was also on Anderton services one night when the riot police cleared the area..rather quickly and violently...that was a strange feeling being off your nut and getting chased by robocops...

 

Up all night driving off your tree...smoking copiuos ammounts of weed, without even feeling stoned....in just before ya ma got up...pile of wet clothes on the floor...soaked wet through sweat...then up and out to Tavern / three pigeons...that big boozer in Chorley or Crofters in Harwood for a Sundaynight booze....

 

Happy days that I wouldn't swop for the world...never to be experienced again by anyone...similar to punk..the beetles..mods etc...still gives me goosebumps now...and makes me remember that rushin feeling....

Best club from the era, will always be the Quad in Liverpool. Much maligned for being 'too shady' but those who survived it will never forget it. Always a big group from Horwich, Daubhill and Farnworth. The much missed Boars Head was usually the meeting point.
