Andranik

Signed For Fulham

Fulham Football Club has added the signing of Andranik to its summer acquisitions. The 25-year-old Armenian-Iranian defensive midfielder has played most recently for Bolton Wanderers and the Iran national football team.

Andranik started his career with Oghab F.C. in Iran's Azadegan League, and continued his professional career playing for F.C. Aboomoslem in the Iranian Premier League. In the 2005?06 season, Andranik made 26 appearances for F.C. Aboomoslem. In August 2006 he signed a two-year deal with Bolton Wanderers, for an undisclosed fee, before joining Fulham on a free transfer.

He has played for Iran's national team at every level, before being drafted into the senior side. He was a member of the national team squad during 2006 World Cup. The player joins Fulham on a two-year deal until the summer of 2010.

Fulham must have a fair few midfielders now. One of Murphy, Bullard and Gera will hardly get a game next year.

Letting him go will come back and bite us in the ass!!!!

He will score against us next season.

He will score against us next season.

In that, I have no doubt.

It was daft to let him go IMO.

andranik did little over the 2 years he was here to earn another contract

whether that was because he was "underused" is a matter of opinion I guess

but 3 managers in a row didn't fancy him that much

think people have a soft spot for him because he scored 2 on his debut and another 2 against Wigan

reckon we were right to let him go

planning ahead, whose fault will it be when he has some good games next season?

1 - Big Sam

2 - Little Sam

3 - Megson

4 - Gartside

5 - The ticket office

i did nt know gera had gone to fulham.

they seem to be putting together a squad of journey men !

Undoubtedly Megson, closely followed by the ticket office

The Iranian international spent last season on loan at Bolton but left the club at the end of the campaign when his contract expired.

Thats from skysports.

Was he on loan?

Nope. Sky are wrong there. Signed permanently two years ago. Was never on loan.

One thing to say about Fulham, they are getting their transfer business done nice and early. OK not many of signings have set the world on fire (Gera the exception maybe?) but will prevent the last minute panic buys.

His display in Lisbon was, I think, one of the worst I have seen from a Premiership player.

He never did enough last season when he did play to warrant a new contract, although he looked promising in 06/07.

I agree that Megson will get the blame if he becomes a success at Fulham. In fact someone should start a poll to see how many on here would have given Andranik a new contract.....

I'm not bothered that he's gone, I'm not sure what he had done to warrant being kept on. If he isn't in the plans of the club going forward, which clearly he isn't, then we may as well get rid. As other people have said before, 3 managers haven't seen enough in him to give him a run of games, so maybe, just maybe.........he's not very good

are you saying thats a good thing

a bad thing

or not actually saying owt?

If you were a Fulham supporter

And you'd so far signed:

Gera - has looked good in the 2nd tier but that's about it

and

Andranik - done very little and been released feom another Prem team

Would you be happy with your lot? My guess is no and the "Fulhamways" posters would be moaning about a lack of ambition... #

Forget Andranik, we have better and we'll buy better.

Fulham seem to be going through the same process as we did last year.

That tactic took us from european qualifaction to near relegation.

If we signed someone from another struggling teams reserves people on here would be moaning.

Andranik would be the sort of player I would expect to be a "panic buy" for somebody, as opposed to being the sort of player that you need to get in as quickly as pssible, before anybody else snaps him up

all i would say in andraniks favour is that hodgson is well travelled and widely experienced

i guess he sees something in andranik

maybe its his long throws onto mcbrides bonce

with fulham, its somehow cultured football

Yeah, it's really his Myspace page and all :pardon:

It's easy to tell a real one from an imitation. It's got photos from family occasions on it and he's got comments from his brother, I don't think anyones sad enough to pretend to be Andraniks brother too. Only Jussi and Andranik have there own as far as I know.

I'm guessing here him I think Andranik would know how to spell Tehran correctly. It's got Great Lever mongalong written all over it.
