no balls
I'd like to have a small area out back decked as it's on a bit of an incline and so isn't a usuable space currently. Can anyone recommend a man that can as I might consider myself emancipated BUT really don't think I'll be able to do this task myself. Also, what kind of wood do I want, tiles, planks, wood type, treatment type etc. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for that & I might have a gander there for the wood, but I really don't think I'll be able to do it myself. The only nails I know owt about are acrylic. Anybody got any recommendations for carpenters who are any good at this sort of stuff and won't rip me off thinking I'm some dolly dimple.

Smiley
I second that..... I want an area decking too..... might want some ballistrades, steps, etc. Garden is a bit slanted - so would prevent the "falling off sunbeds" escapade.
YATESY
Part of back garden is on the embankment of old Bury to Holcombe Brook line. Plenty of unuseable space on a serious slope. Had a massive decking job done to give us about 45 square meters of flat area. Materials bought from Cocklestorm in Radcliffe who recommended a man to do the job...and what a superb job. I have a number for said man but two years ago now, so it may or may not still be live. PM me if you want it.
