Krakow is worth looking at for that length of stay.

Amsterdam, Riga, Tallinn?

Depends if you're taking her with you, I suppose.

I've done a 4 day break in Dubai, it's not too far imho BUT it's f?cknig hot this time of year. Be warned, don't wear a tanktop of a day round the pool!

Have they got an Irish bar?

two, full of polish so just like the real thing! :good:

If it was me I'd do Lisbon.

Really friendly folk, not too far/expensive, budget airlines serve it, weather should be decent.

One of the reasons I love Paris is that it doesn't change.

The parisians know it is perfect and aim to keep it that way.

I love France, but f?cking detest Paris.

can you really beat guimaraes

my missus would want to go back to rome, preferably without me

Never went there but i dont think the picture i painted of Madrid will make her want to go there-

Dubai is about a 7 hour flight from Manchester, which isn't too bad. But if your looking to go through British summertime, it is bakin' like NB says. Your looking at 35 degrees plus daily. Also remember it's an arid climate, so it will be uncomfortable, although saying that this time next year, it will be home to two of the largest malls in the world for her to go mental in, not to mention the largest indoor ski centre ever.

Skeggy!

They've still got a model of the Blackpool tower.

My wife is 40 next july got sitters for kids, told her she can go anywhere in world for 1 week. Her reply fukin benidorm didnt realise i had married a chav.

Budapest (loads to see and do - you can even take her up the Danube, so to speak)

Lisbon (plenty on offer)

Istanbul (seriously, great city)

Munich (if she likes a beer)

Tel Aviv (meant to be up & coming)

Stockholm is lovely, slightly expensive whilst there, but cheap and easy to get to. Slightly leftfield I know but think it would impress her if neither of you been.

The weather in Dubai will be fine in mid September, it will be Ramadan as well which means no beer before seven pm so bring Duty Free. Ramadan is a pretty cool time to visit as it is a month long Christmas type thing for our bearded friends and so they tend to lay off the floggings and suicide bombings for a bit.....

Oh yeah and it is full of c*ckmunchers apparently...... Not seen any myself but then I do not frequent the same clubs as Jayjay did on his last visit.........

barcelona has a lot to offer!

Toronto is another option. Try Zoom or Air Transat for flights.

Sort your own hotel out - there's tons to choose from.

Hire a car and do Niagara Falls (less than an hour's drive - freeway all the way).

Take her to a baseball match.

Take her up the CN Tower (so to speak).

Get a short ferry ride over to the Island Park and take her on a tandem bike ride.

Shed loads of shopping and restaurants and bars.

Can't go wrong!

Whisk her off to Venice. Hire a gondola, tour the water streets of Venice, pamper her with fine wine and have some roses delivered to your hotel room when you get back.

Nailed on to get a bit of wetd?ck.
