i think this will be a nil apiece, maybe either side nicking a 1-0

i am depressed

3-1 to the whites

It'll be a dull, nervy affair with the fans turning on the players. Then we'll nick it off a set-piece in the last ten.

Lose on Saturday though, and i can see us going on another losing run.

I agree, everyone is panicking a bit too much over a cup game!

I reckon 3-1 :yahoo:

We have NO creativity.

Define creativity? If you mean Brazilian-esque dribbling, then you're correct.

Let's not forget we created alot of chances against Stoke, and more than enough chances to beat Newcastle. We do create chances - it's taking them that's the problem

Hoofing the ball into the penalty box and hoping for a lucky break isn't creativity.Thats how the bulk of chances against Stoke and Newcastle were made

Midfield players prising open defences with telling passes(Tony Kelly,Ivan Campo,Hierro,)running at defences to set up forwards (Mcateer,Curcic Okocha), or wingers running past full backs and getting crosses in(Lee,Thompson in the same side) is creativity. We have none of that.

Does it create chances?

Yes.

It's not pretty but it is effective - and we're in a results business. Megson is building a team but it will take more than one window to bring the players in that he wants - players like Muamba, Elmander, Cahill, etc. Against Stoke it wasn't all "hoof into the box" and we played some good football.

Chelsea played good football against Pompy (at home) but away at Wigan from they made sure they won the game, nothing more. That's just how football is now, ManUre were exac the same at Pompy on Monday. Even Arsenal fans are fed up now. West Brom played lovely passing football in the Champ... not doing them much good so far in the Prem is it?

2 - 0 Elmander and Taylor

Amazing how two different people can have completely different views of games. I thought our football at St. James' Park involved some very crisp and probing passing movements. 'Hoofing the ball into the penalty box'? Would you include Steinssons cross which Nolan should have headed home as an example of that or would it fall into the 'running past full backs and getting crosses in' category?

Moaning fecking Bolton fans. Been like that as long as I can remember.

Get behind em FFS and forget one sh1t result in the Carling Cup.

Aye. I too thought all that was lacking at the barcodes was finishing. Not in favour of Megson at the start due to his track record and I am still concerned that in my view that the quality in the side has been reduced, but its far too early in the season to be calling for his head. I will wait till mid November before making a judgement.

Amen to that mate. I was not a supporter of appointing Megson but joined the 'he's here so let's support him' camp until such time as it becomes obvious he can't hack it at PL level (it that does happen).

Remove last nights debacle and I am reasonably satisfied with our start. We should have had points on the board from both PL games played so far and I can see another Stoke type result against WBA. If we are floundering 8 or 10 games in - I agree, it's time to act. Not sure who we'd replace him with however.

No pace, No creativity, No ideas, No goal scorers. No chance. It's there for all to see. A ticking time bomb. I hope i'm wrong but I cant see any difference between the side we started last season with and the side we've started this one with. If anything (apart from probably defense) we have a lesser team than last season.

After seeing last nights panto, I think 1-2.

a very stale 0:0 with neither team wanting to lose

2-1 Nolan and Davies. shittu og for them. :unknw:

0-1, west brom are a bit of a bogey side for us especially on our home patch, can't remember ever beating them convincingly,

both teams set out for a 0-0 and west brom get a deflected goal in last 10 mins.

<_< have a word eh lads,

home win, 2-1- away goal being a header
