Selling The Club

Having seen city go from rock all to robinho signing in 12 months, dodgy dodgy deals and major question marks over their long term stability under shinawatra etc etc, id still fooking bite someones hand off if big bucks investors came a knockin at the reeboks door!

Or am i just a glory hunter?

YES !! without a shadow of a doubt !!

glory hunter but that is the only way we will survive. Football is well and truly fucked. City have been able to bid for everyone all day. Not many clubs in the prem stand a chance now. I think we will end up with an elite league (euro league of some sort) and the rest will be left to either disolve or continue with the knowledge that they cannot achieve anything

I'm sure Megson will say, "he tried".

Leeds United are a living testimony to not living beyond your means.

Better to stay solvent and perhaps struggle in the lower reaches of the Premiership, than to go bust and end up down in league 2.

them what voted yes, ensure you have a long spoon.

Them will be the ones who just moan, moan, moan all the fcuking time,

i am disappointed that it looks like no new players but hey ho will be reet.

i voted yes and that is simply because i think unless you do join them you will lose out

These clubs can't sustain themselves. Newcastle have realised, Pompey, Everton, everyone is catching on. The money is the Champions League, and they can't all finish in the top 4.

Just relax, wait a few years with us sitting about in lower mid-table, and then when the bubble bursts we'll be there to get back in Europe.

This lot'll realise that City and the Prem isn't the source of all wealth. They'll eventually probably get bored and leave and leave City in the shit. :yahoo:

i was very tempted to vote yes,but had to go no in the end.

we'll never have a sustained challenge at the top 4,and i'm more than happy if we can stay a recognised prem club for the time being(next 50 yrs)

that should see me through

I agree on both counts: that they have the money to spend and that something will go wrong.

It wasn't just City I was referring to: it's the whole spend and crash philosophy of the premier league.

these abu dabhi folk have the money

Damn right they've got money. Our f?cking money from robbing us blind for oil!

As usual, the voice of reason. A resounding no from me. If it were to happen, however, I would just strap myself in and enjoy the ride. BWFC will always be BWFC and it's the town and fan base which matters more to me than some moneybags owner.

no no no no !!!!

I like how our club is run. I like Davies, I like Gartside and I like Megson.

I dislike conglomerates and rich businesses formed in illegal or dubious ways.

I dislike big chain stores such as Homebase and Tescos.

I like the local 'Iron Mongers'** and the Corner shop family run Grocers.

I love Bolton Wanderers.

I hate Man United

Spot on!

I voted NO.

Some minor millionaire - then fair do's.

Some billionaire oil magnet who wants us as a play-thing - no thanks.
