Annoying Phrases

Featured Replies

Bullshit Buzzword Bingo. Write down a list of buzzwords on a sheet of paper and tick them off as they get mentioned. Get all your mates/colleagues to do the same.

Rule: You have to stand up and shout HERE! when you tick the last one off.

one of our former managers had the annoying habit of saying 'in effect' at every opportunity. a few of us did a tally chart over a week, and she averaged 14 'in effects' per meeting.

'we take a lot of positives from this performance' grates, along with 'youre always late', and 'dont be too late'.

Apparently my buzz phrase is "If you will" at the end of a sentence

"Ticks all the right boxes" get's on mi wick

Everything marginally impressive seems to have become "absolutely amazing". i blame that Zara Phillips.

Although I still would.

Put a DONK on it!

Why, when someone's in agreement with you, do they say, "Absolutely!"?

Any knobjocky that tries to joke in the office by saying:

Excrement instead of excellent

Exsqueeze me instead of excuse me

Also wearing a mickey mouse tie does not make you entertaining, it means you work in finance.

Put a DONK on it!

1. Basically,.............

2. ".............as it were"

3. I for one..............

That is a huge one for me! How can anything be more than 100%? People who use it are obviously fcuking cretins!

Well, of course, it is possible to give > 100%

When in conversation and the other person says "no no no' why say it three times. I'm not deaf and I understand the word perfectly, unlike the word paradigm. No no no gets seriously on my wazz and virtually everybody does it. People who write in my opinion, it's easier just to put quote when it is'nt your opinion.

Micro managing pfft. Encapsulate which is a very good word in itself. In itself get it.

Know what I mean, please only say this to people who speak english as a second language.

Obviously, basically and probably joint No 1 DECIMATE does'nt mean to completely destroy ffs

note comment at exactly 1 minute in. Mind you, maybe that's why it blew up!

That's a bugger, it takes me all day to invent things

It's not what you do, it's what you say you've done that counts

I support ManU

I support ManU

We know.

Mancs that answer their own questions, "did you go out last night, yeah", "are you going to the game, no".

We know.

How very dare you

"I have a fax in my pocket".

"fućk off you fat, bald ćunt"

A well known female poster on here counts how many times I say "correct" in her company. I presume I say it a lot!

Then again, she's barking!

Im starting to think my adopted annoying phrase is 'obviously'

I say it a lot!

Actually, id say a phrase is made up of 2 or more words and therefore- obviously can obviously not be a phrase.

obviously is my prefered word.

my phrase would have to be, 'it makes sense to the senseless' ( a missus c drunken observation that has stuck with me for years)

"fućk off you fat, bald ćunt"

Yes, I hear that too much too.

I don't like it. I'm going to buy a wig.

Or a t-shirt saying that I'm a big-boned cancer victim.
