I'm one of the most positive people on here when it comes to our team, i'm just giving credit to a Bolton lad playing well. Simply, there ain't that many of our players who i'd fancy to pick Shearer out from there.

Obviously he couldn't do it again if you gave him half an hour, but it was a genuine piece of class.

Worth a punt then, Shearer, Sherringham or someone out of McFly?

Are you on fcuking drugs

You could tell shearer has not played for a bit.

Would not cut it in the 3rd div now.FACT

if they would of been picked against andora

1 of them would of scored FACT and shearer

would still get in a lot of sides today FACT

Shearer would have refused to play for England just like he did the last few times he was asked, bigger FACT.

lets just say he chose to play and if he did he would of scored

it's no bad thing that people are using their name/status to do some good.

I don't disagree.

My point was that the "great and good" should be giving a proportionate amount of cash too.

ie the average wage is around ?20k a year and if the man in the street gives a fiver as Robbie Williams has asked: then the "stars" should make a proportionate donation. ie a bloke on ?20k giving a fiver is akin to a Premiership footballer on ?100k a week making a ?1300 donation.

That team tonight played with a damn sight more enthusiasm than that shower of overpaid shyte did against Andorra. They looked like they enjoyed the game and really wanted to win.

Isn't there a credit crunch on or have i missed something

I'm all for saving children etc however as Traf says those that can afford to donate x amount and those that can't afford don't

There's a credit crunch if you're a 'normal' worknig person in the UK, not a 'star'. Maybe they don't realise folk are less well off than they were.

Also, because of the credit crunch, folk may well decide which charity they do want to donate towards. I have one I pay to, that's personal choice, and I for one will not be bullied by 'stars' to give my cash.

Having said that, I didn't even watch it. :D

Great cross from Danny Jones for Shearer's goal :yahoo:

Nice to know he is a Bolton fan as well.

To join the Vernon Kay,Amir Khan BWFC celeb club :drinks:

He scored a peach of a long range goal for our primary skoo team (probably only ten yards!) not long after paatelinen scored a long ranger for us as well if memory serves.

You went to school with Mixu Paatelainen?

dont be daft, itd be way too much ont bus to finland every day

Shearer for England for me - still the best english striker for a long while.

(surprised the geordies haven't tried to rekindle the shearer / owen strikeforce !!)

Hmmm, not quite. Stadium attendances for gigs at the minute are well down.

Festivals have struggled to sell out like previous years.

I believe the Millennium Stadium was only 3/4 full for Madonna and thus cost her a wedge of money.

Thought McFly played well - never really noticed him "bigging up" Bolton like every other Bolton celeb.

Brian Lara looked quite steady and was unlucky not to get MOM.

Shearer looked slow - but still has the goalscoring touch.

Romario was embarrassing.

DiCanio would be worth a punt.

Maybe, but they're not going to feel it as much as the 'common' man. It's all relative.

That's just because she's kak.

R.E.M at the Millenium stadium got switched to cardiff arena due to poor ticket sales.

Same comment I think, They're kak! ( I might put that word back into my vocabulary) :good:

A new hate figure on the horizon =D> Yippee, oh sorry the guy doesnt big up Bolton, no need to hate him yet.

Oh and Shearer just doubled his medals tally.

they blamed that on the mud

watched this game last night

beltin moment when Craig David beasted Jaap Stam in a 50/50 shoulder charge

he's gone right up in my estimation

I don't get this having " celebrities" playing with former footballers. I mean there is no Theatre Aid with Gascoigne playing Hamlet. Now I would pay money to see that. Come on Crawley get it sorted.
