Dzemaili Watch

Dzemaili Inspires Toro

Torino saw off Serie C side Pro Vercelli in a friendly last night and President Urbano Cairo was delighted with the performance of Blerim Dzemaili.

The Granata saw off the 1908 and 1909 Italian champions 3-0 with goals from Dzemaili, Elvis Abbruscato and Rolando Bianchi.

Toro seem to be high on confidence after a valuable 3-0 victory over Lecce in Week 1 and Cairo is pleased with the way the side is coming together.

?I think we will see the real Toro by mid-October or even before,? he asserted.

?I'm very happy with the players that Gianni De Biasi has at his disposal and I'm pleased that we have sold 13,500 season tickets already.?

Young Swiss international midfielder Dzemaili, who arrived from Bolton on loan this summer, was the star of the show.

?I was very impressed by the performance of Dzemaili who showed that he can be a leading light,? Cairo enthused.

?He is a playmaker for this team and he had a great game even though he was in action in an Under-21 international on Tuesday.

?The young lad is hard-working, humble and has a great desire to do well. Luckily we also have Eugenio Corini to guide him and advise him.?

Torino: (First half): Sereni; Diana, Franceschini, Ogbonna, Rubin; Zanetti, Dzemaili, Saumel; Rosina, Stellone, Amoruso

(Second half): Calderoni; Colombo, Di Loreto, Ogbonna (Gorani 83), Pisano; Vailatti, Corini, Barone; Abbruscato, Bianchi

Blerim Dzemaili - Torino - Serie A

It was announced earlier on Thursday that Lazio were eyeing a pair of Torino midfielders and they have reportedly already made a bid for one of them, according to Calciomercato.

The Biancocelesti have tabled a bid of ?6 million for playmaker Blerim Dzemaili as they look to add some more depth to the squad for next season.

The 23-year-old has been one of the few bright spots in an otherwise gloomy season for Torino, who are still threatened with relegation on the final day of the Serie A campaign, facing a difficult away fixture against Roma.

Dzemaili has a contract until 2012 with Torino, but is reportedly eager to move to a bigger club. He has excelled as a deep-lying midfielder in Serie A since securing a move from Bolton last September, that was made into a permanent transfer in January.

The former FC Zurich star has made 30 appearances for the Granata in 2008-09.

Sound like he hasnt signed for Torino after all

From Sultana sports

Torino president Urbano Cairo says he would like to keep on loan Bolton midfielder Blerim Dzemaili.

As the Turin-based club get ready for life in Serie B next season, Cairo is keen to retain the services of his prominent players despite their relegation.

Dzemaili joined Torino on a season-long loan in September following a disappointing spell at Bolton.

The Torino president previously stated that he is keen to exercise the club's option to buy Dzemaili at the conclusion of his loan.

"It is true that we will evaluate offers for [Rolando] Bianchi and Dzemaili although I have no intention to part with these two players," Cairo told La Stampa.

"The goal is to keep the best players and set up a strong team, having the chance to compete at the highest level in a difficult championship as the Serie B."

sounds to me like setanta are abit confused

think torino have him, and after their relegation, don't want to sell him

may be wrong though :unknw:

had the makings of a decent player.

but injuries prevented us ever giving him a chance.

good luck him.

I t wouldnt surprise me if Torino flog him to one of the big boys that have been sniffing around him before the start of next season

it wouldn't surprise me if we never hear of him again

it wouldn't surprise me if we never hear of him again

it woulnt suprise me if he went on to play for milan

Well, just read on one particularly disreputable goss site that Liverpool have allegedly made a 'bumper' offer for him. The words 'arse' and 'Town Hall steps' spring to mind, but who knows?

Not a chance that one's true.

Turns out he went on loan to Parma, playing against Fiorentina on ESPN now

  • 1 month later...

Scored his 1st goal for Parma in a 2-1 loss to Livorno today, edge of box low and central.

well good for him, stop dwelling in the past and move on son.

Im not, but he's better than all our midfielders.

No, no he isn't.

If he was, he'd still be here. He was getting knocked about by 16 year olds playing for the ressies. We sent scouts out to Italy three times to watch him, just to make sure. He's the sort of player Bolton fans would hate.
