Well, playing the game exclusively in our half of the field, doesnt. Spending more time in the opposition half relieves pressure and maybe allows us to nick a goal ourselves.

Yes quite possibly, it would give us an outlet to keep the ball for a bit rather than giving it straight back, and would allow our defenders a bit of a breather from constant onslaughts. Obviously playing gung-ho-esque football isn't what is being talked about but more than just one attacking player would be helpful surely.

Sorry but if you are playing 4-5-1 and no attacking midfielders to support and the 1 is slow, you may as well be playing 4-5-0. The oppo can push for as much as they like and you are permanently on the back foot. It's not that complicated is it?

As soon as I saw the team I knew we would get fcuk all. As soon as they scored it was game over so I stopped listening until it was full time. I turned on just in hope that we may just have scraped something.

Why the fcuk is Smolarek not ready in Megson's opinion? He played for Poland in mid week and scored. All this it's a different kind of football is bollocks.
