wayne cramp Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 REET , I,M IN A POSITIVE MOOD TODAY. IN MY OPINION WE SHOULD BE GOING TO HULL AND ATTACKING FROM THE OFF , ITS HULL FFS, YEAH AWREET THEY,VE HAD A DAMN GOOD START BUT JUST LOOK AT THE TABLE AS IT STANDS AND APART FROM THE TOP 5 MAYBE 6 , I CANT REMEMBER IT BEING SO CLOSE BETWEEN 14 TEAMS AFTER OVER A QUARTER OF THE SEASON HAVING BEEN PLAYED. WE SHOULD BE GOING AWAY FROM HOME AND ATTACKING, CATCH TEAMS COLD THAT ARE EXPECTING LONG BALL TO DAVIES BOLTON TO TURN UP. SO AGAINST THE TIGERS - JUSSI STEINNSONN - O;BRIEN CAHILL - SAMUEL TAYLOR - MUAMBA MCCANN - GARDNER ELMANDER DAVIES. LETS GET DOWN THE FLANKS AND GET THE BALLS INTO THE FRONT TWO , WE SHOWED ON SUNDAY THAT WE CAN PLAY FOOTBALL THAT WAY. (TONY KELLY - PLEASE PRINT AND PASS TO MR.MEGSON , IF HE WANTS A WORD THEN TELL HIM TO PM ME) COME ON YOU WHITES
MickyD Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Not sure about a left winger on the right wing. I think Taylor and Muamba or Mccann could keep swapping plaes just to add a bit of confusion. Oh, sorry; NOT SURE ABOUT A LEFT WINGER ON THE RIGHT WING. I THINK TAYLOR AND MUAMBA OR MCCANN COULD KEEP SWAPPING PLACES JUST TO ADD A BIT OF CONFUSION.
freds dad Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 My selection would be this assuming Riga is fit and Elmander isn't but then again it is Megson picking his worst/best team so we will probably see JOB in there somewhere with Hunt recalled from Brum JUSSI STEINNSONN - O;BRIEN CAHILL - SAMUEL McCANN RIGA - MUAMBA - GARDNER NOLAN DAVIES.
MickyD Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Sure we'd get bollocked of the league for playing inelligible players though. Nolan, if my memory serves me right, is suspended.

Riga should definatley not start if fit or not, last 20-25mins for him depending on the score at the time obviously.
snackum Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Just a question to keep the discussion going (and so as we don't all agree with wayne cramp ! :-) ) If we go there with a positive attitude and look to score a couple of goals, is there a case for letting Vaz Te can run their defence for the first 25/30 minutes ?? Play him in place of Elmander and let him, Gardner and Muamba keep running at them? When Manure ran at them their defence left some enormous holes. It may make some space for KD to nick one early on? And let's be honest.... Vaz Te is as talented at not scoring as Elmander is.... so no real risk !
Burndens Bogs Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Is there a case for letting Vaz Te can run their defence for the first 25/30 minutes ?? Er no,none whatsoever.
Whizz Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 I think everyone is getting carried away after scraping past a poor City team that dont travel well. We will play the same style, with no flair and if it's 0-0 ater an hour, we will hold on for the draw. I think Megson has bought himself 5 or 6 games with the City result and looking at the fixtures I predict a maximum of 3 or 4 points. At which point we will still be in the bottom 3.

magic legs Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Me 4, but with the proviso that Elmander plays behind Davies.
