An Xmas Appeal

Featured Replies

*the boxes need to be under 2kg(preferably a shoe box should be used)*if you keep it under 2Kilo's it's free to post

*put your address on the box otherwise it wont get sent*

*Put a small customs form on the box listing the contents(ie sweets, tea, porn etc)*

*send parcel to either a specific named individual or 'a soldier','a marine','a gurkha' etc*

*include a note inside the parcel saying where its come from-the recipient WILL write back to you to say thanks*

From what I can gather if you get yours sent off before the start of December it will definately get to Iraq/Afghanistan in time for Xmas.

Cheers lads. (or lasses)

where does one address said box to?

Silly question happen: Do you just drop thme off at the post office?

Or, rather than pack a box yourself, you can contribute to this scheme: http://www.uk4u.org/

:good:

Posted something similar a couple of months ago and to be honest didn't think folk were too arsed about getting out of their comfort zone.

Quite simply, some of these lads have f?ck all and they are serving our country.

Maggie has said he doesn't need anything but has told me that posting stuff to our lads and lasses makes a massive difference to them.

I'll dig out the original details and post them again.

If they're serving in Iraq or Afghanistan, why would they want the local papers?

They're unlikely to understand them.

as posted it would be greatly appreciated especially at a tough time like xmas..

anyone who can't be bothered with the mither of posting them can pass them on to myself..

it really is easy and you'd be suprised what comes in handy (old zoo, nuts, fhm or loaded etc)

Has Maggie anyone in mind?

No point those who don't need bits getting stuff and those without not.

If you know what I mean.

William, Traf - I would love to contribute to this. Can I EFT some cash so one of you can send a parcel on my behalf?

At the risk of seeming a bit numb..........I want to make sure I get this right. :pardon:

If I get a box out of our warehouse, and pack it full of some of the above mentioned goodies, all I need to do is ensure that it has a weight of under 2Kg, write my address on it (as sender) and then I can just address it to "A Soldier" and then take it to a Post Office, and they will do the rest.

If it's that simple, then I'll get something sorted this weekend.

IAMIN !

If nothing else it is a good excuse if you get caught with a porn stack in the blacks suitcase in the back of the wardrobe in the bedroom, just under the pile of coats and shows.

'I am collecting them so our lads can have a good wank before getting shot.'

i'll put one together and get the missus to take it with her ebay stuff on monday.

your all gentlemen :good:

(bar ani who just wants an excuse to browse his back catalogue)

Good stuff, a nice thought for the troops.

But I would love to be a fly on the wall when ani's "porn parcel" gets unwrapped round the campfire

the smell of stale spunk wafting out of the box and into the midnight air of the desert would be a truly uplifting experience :good:

The Taliban might think that we've started using germ warfare

Even though I don't know the man from Adam, I will send a shoebox full of of titillation, skin protection and sugary goods because he's sat in an oven being shot at by sneaky terrorists simply so that I don't have to.

(If nobody volunteered, we'd all be up for a ticket, so he's alright in my eyes)

Do you have Maggie's address, or that of someone who does need a copy of Club?

Cheers, Spider.
