peebles Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 I'd rather an Al Qaeda XI won the prem than those filthy scouse tw?ts. (Fields of Athen-f?cking-ry indeed). Like Casino said, immune to it from down the road. It's to the tune of FOA but it's different words isn't it?
frank_spencer Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 It's to the tune of FOA but it's different words isn't it? fields of anfield road
HomerJay Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Sorry Cahill is twice the player Nolan is he scores more goals i would say he helps create more goals he is top drawer in the air is he fitter and faster and he is the type of player that can slot into 2-3 positions ask any evertonian he's average. if he didnt score goals, he wouldnt get a look in.
Smiley Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 fields of anfield road with Steeeeeevie Heighway on the wing? If we have to pick 1 from 5 currently in the running. 1. Liverpool 2. Villa 3. Arsenal 4. Utd 5. Chelsea Tough call really. Think the Scousers winning it means they stay ahead of Utd in titles. If Utd win it, they're level and will start to gloat they're the best team in the land. Can't stand Chelsea for buying said title. Don't mind Arsenal, but hate all their propaganda when playing us. Villa - could I live with hearing that accent whining on about winning the league?
Smiley Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 if he didnt score goals, he wouldnt get a look in. Neither would Anelka. But the fact is - he scores goals - which, contrary to what Megson thinks and the way he's brainwashed some of our fans, is the whole f?ckin' purpose of football.

Out of those 5 i'd prefer villa to win it, but of the 3 realistic hopes my choice is Liverpool

Traf Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 But back to the original post: Cahill has been an outstanding purchase for ?1.5m.
Pablo Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Cahill is a very average Central Midfielder. But behind the front man, he is one of the best. When he doe's not play we are a completely different team, you see exactly what he gives to the whole squad when he plays, he brings out the best in other players, he is very popular with our key players, plays like he actually cares about the badge, and scores big goals. Him with Fellaini behind the Yak could be devastating.
Sweep Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 So you'd sooner Utd win the league? it's a yes from me as well

I'm with Brixton if I had to pick one from that five it would be any one of Liverpool, Villa, Arsenal or Chelsea.

We don't play him Center mid anyway, so its unfair to class him as one. Its like saying he is a crap left back.
exiledwhite2 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Cahill is a very good player, Millwall had a good crop of young players back then. Saying 'take his goals away' is just crackers. Football is about goals, and the lads who have the knack are worth their weight in gold. And while I could say I'm immune to United winning it, I'm also immune to TB, that doesn't make it a good thing. I hope Chelsea or Liverpool can do it this year. Sadly I doubt it.
peebles Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Folk used to say the same about David Platt, but he carved out a pretty good career for himself. Goals are the hardest thing to come by in the Premier League and he supplys them. Cracking player. On the Liverpool Man U thing it has to be Liverpool for me. Times have changed amongst the Bolton support as it used to be anyone but United. Anyone remember land of hope and glory, home of Bolton F C and Leeeeeeds? Guess it's due to being in a higher League but I am with Brixton on this one.

The nail on the head is that statement. As for the title I dont give a f?ck. Lost the hatred thingy years ago - waste of energy and nowt changed even when I felt that way.

Didn't stop him being the anti-christ.
