It surprises me how much football these people must watch to have an opinion on every player we are linked with. Huddlestone would improve us massively, those I doubt we would be first in the queue should he leave Spurs.

I could be reading too much into this but have City ever said they are interested? Could this just be a case of Veloso's agent trying to scare us into paying over the odds? In which case the club/megson have played the game perfectly. "Oh well can't afford him then". So in 4 weeks time we will be able to get him at half price because they'll be worried that he won't get a move anywhere. Don't think I'm arsed whether he comes or not, dragging on a bit now.
