Tennis, like walking the hills, reading, dogging, and knitting is a hobby, a pastime.

 

It would be a much better game if it was doubles, and in each half there was one player from each team, but only one with a tennis bat.

 

When the ball is hit over the net, not only does it have to be tw?tted back, it has to be done so with an opponent bearing down on him, cocky rusty style. This opponents sole aim is to put said tw?tterbacker on his arse before the tw?tting backing is complete.

 

Late and/or high tackles are obviously penalised, as are flying elbows to the temple; we're not savages here and have to protect the overall safety of the participants.

 

I'd watch that then. Especially the wimmins.
