just a quick one frank megson, not on my own with my views now am i ? and these are off proper fans who actually went to the game

ah but they have pointed out where we have struggled and what needs improving rather than just

'We're shite'

Any team that gets beat 2-0 must've blayed badly, that i dont doubt.

But we're clearly not 'shite'.

not as good as we once were i'll give you that

it's not pretty but does the job

Exactly. That's the feeling a lot of folk have at the minute.

Fair play to those who travel to every away game - by Christ you must have strong stomachs.

It takes me all my time to pick and choose away games and then sh?te like that gets served up and I wonder why the hell I even bothered. And quite rightly someone will come on here and tell me not too. But the fool in me will do again and fingers crossed it will be much better.

But the football on show each week is awful. Maybe I'm tactically inept - but what are we trying to achieve? What are our tactics?

I thought we were on top until they scored, but we didn't respond well (clearly not used to being behind)

Not a great night, but not armageddon; we are still a work in progress.

I will never understand the folk who boo the team/manager. Mostly youngsters, it seems. 11th in the table, Prem table, represents success.

I hereby pledge never to post on threads of this nature again.

There are 9 or 10 people who only appear when we lose.

May I suggest a new forum to go underneath Behind The Stands? We can call it "Do Your F?cking Moaning Here You Miserable Tw?ts" there'll be no moderators since only 9 or 10 people will ever bother to go there.

If they post anything negative elsewhere they get a ban since they are breaking forum posting rules.

THEN we get to hang them upside down next to a hot radiator and pour paint into their bottoms.

Spider, you are a f?cking loon ::lol::

they scored in the 14th minute.

Correct; we were on top until then

I wouldnt say the football is awful every week but apart from that i agree with everything else said there totally. That performance last night was pathetic, no fighting spirit after goin behind we just threw the towel in. We need to work out how to play away because what we are doing now certainly isnt working. We need to change a couple of players in the summer.

if Pea-green isn't the answer then a new CB to partner Cahill

A creative centre mid as Little Davies has abilty but is still young and we can't rely on him

a right winger to enable Taylor to go back on the left and give us balance

A forward other than SKD and Salamander

IMO

Last night was shite. A soon as we gave them there first goal we give up. Never looked like scoring. Andy O'brien just isnt good enough and it was proved once again last.

Only Samy Lee could have found a positive from last night.

my take on last night.

we were very poor and didn't seem to turn up at all. from early on i said to my friend it was going to be a bad day at the office. all the niggly bounces etc all fell stokes way and fair play to them they were certainly up for the game. we were NEVER going to win last night. Stoke are a strong team at home and many better teams have dropped points there this season.

the main thing that pissed me off about the night was the idiots who were calling for megson to bring on gardner then when he did they boo'd the substitution. are these guys for fucking real. far too many clueless fuckwits follow bolton. that is putting a lot of people off. i just do not follow the "megson make a fucking substitute you useless cunt" followed by a "boo. fucking hell megson what you doing that for" after he has made the substitution that you were calling for 2 minutes earlier!!

We could have played all night and not scored, last night was as heartless a performance as I have ever seen from Bolton Wanderers, it really was grim

nail on head Big E, it's embarrasing. My only entertainemtn yesterday was listening to "Megson haters" argueing with the "Megson likers" - I don't care what anybody says, if the manager get's booed, then it effects all the team.

The calls for Ricardo to come on, and then the boos when the substitution, were just ridiculous. I presume they were booing becuase McCann wasn't taken off. Now McCann was pretty crap last night, but Muamba was worse than useless and really did need to be taken off first

?5M is looking expensive at the minute, but he's got time on his side. His confidence is probably shot to fook as well at the minute.

Interestingly, the daft bint stood behind me last night was booing McCann and claiming he should be taken after only his first touch last night, when the game was only a minute or two old..................

McCann has been one of our better players this season. We have missed him when he hasn't played.

And the Wanderers manager, pictured, admitted at least three of his players were found wanting at the Britannia Stadium last night.

?I had reservation about three or four about how they play away from home and how they cope when we are on a decent run,? said Megson, whose side were chasing a third consecutive victory.

?We?ve just won two games and really good sides go on and win three and four games on a bounce, but we?re incapable of doing that.

?We had three people in our team that I was disappointed about how they went about the game.

?If we had a bigger squad there would be changes.?

Which 3 would that be?

O'Brien must be one of them. Muamba, maybe Steinnson?

What riled me last night was at 2-0 down, we substitute a defender who hasn't been playing great for a few weeks now for a striker (ok may not be the best, but must be doing something right in training). The shouts to Megson, 'you don't know what your doing' were daft. This was a positive substitution in my eye and many others round me!

Im not keen on the man but in my eye this was a positive move, to either chase the game or look as if we were going for it. If he hadn't have made the substitution then the same fans would have said the same thing.

Megson can't win in the eyes of some fullstop!

Can't believe nobody has mentioned Samuel last night. Was he on drugs?

How the hell he stayed on the pitch for the full 90 minutes was beyond us. He was totally switched off and error prone from the first minute. To give him some credit though, he did play the only defence spliting pass of the night from a Bolton player - just a shame it was for Fuller to run on to!

It really was piss poor last night but I think you have to place Stoke away in a 'seasons one-offs' pot. The pitch is probably the narrowest the rules permit - thus allowing Delap to launch his throws and no width for the oppostion to play with. The place is intimidating. We didn't compete, we didn't have a quality ball into the box, their keeper was on crossing catching duty for most of the night BUT more teams better than us have struggled there this season too.

Finally - The Youth, who have been praised on here many times for their support, really do need a reality check. Do they even know who Owen Coyle is? What makes them so sure he will match the achievements of Megson - never mind better them? if you can't get behind the current manager - stop following your singing leader like bloody sheep.

I agree with you about Samuel he had a nightmare!!! But that pitch was massive, one of the widest I have seen in a long time! If we had had researched the game properly (not saying they didn't) but the way to winning that game last night in my eye from way up top was playing down the wings. There was so much room it was untrue!

I'd say Samuel before Steinsson.

We were poor last night, now that doesn't mean that megson is a wanker etc....

I don't understand our defence on set pieces, my memory isn't great but for their second there was 11 bolton players in the box not marking anyone, 4 stoke players and three on the edge of the area unmarked. Ball thrown in, half of our team try and head it, flicking it on to the unmarked guy at the edge of the box, who lashes it in and they score from the rebound. By contrast when we had a corner, fuller was on the half way line and the defence cleared to an area where he could get to and hold the ball up. Elmander stood in the box without purpose.

PS. Fair play to the guy in the turkey hat who replied to "give us a song" by singing "ginger mourinho"

also, can you please stop the "If you can't do the Bouncy you're a Manc" song - it's just stupid
