And the Wanderers manager, pictured, admitted at least three of his players were found wanting at the Britannia Stadium last night.

?I had reservation about three or four about how they play away from home and how they cope when we are on a decent run,? said Megson, whose side were chasing a third consecutive victory.

?We?ve just won two games and really good sides go on and win three and four games on a bounce, but we?re incapable of doing that.

?We had three people in our team that I was disappointed about how they went about the game.

?If we had a bigger squad there would be changes.?

Which 3 would that be?

O'Brien must be one of them. Muamba, maybe Steinnson?

Worst 3 for me were Mccann, Steinsson and the biggest fuck up is easily Andy O'Brien. Muamba was poor with distribution but made some vital tackles whereas Mccann couldnt even get near them to do his usual fouls never mind win the ball back! The main thing is Megson has identified theres some players who arent good enough, lets hope the replacements are good ones in the summer.

My one flotation aid in this sea of pessimism is 4 points minimum from the next two games.

Get a grip FFS you bunch of whingeing farts. I've seen us get some reet leatherings away from home in the lower leagues and here we are losing a match 2-0 in the Premier League resulting in the shame of a mid table position in the best league in the world. Fcuk it you are right. If I had enough poly pipe I'd go and put that fcukwit Morrissey on in the car and have a carbon monoxide massage.

muamba was the biggest waste of space on that pitch last night. i don't think he won a header or a tackle all night

Was disappointing last night but not unexpected. Always thought Stoke were going to be a handful this season and they just might escape relegation depending on their run in fixtures. Got the feeling that they wanted it more than we did. Perhaps that's because the points buffer created by our last two wins has made the side think we are safe given our home fixtures. However I think being 5 points away is nowhere near enough and if you look back to last year and see how far we were behind you start to get uncomfortable. We were lucky last year in that many of the teams we played in that run were safely placed in mid table no mans land and so were not bothered when faced with a battling side. This year its different with so many teams potentially unsafe. I don't think we should bank on just taking 3 points from these so called easy home fixtures because it just ain't gonna turn out that way. Therefore the team needs to be motivated and up for it in every away game.

As for the quality of football in the premier, I agree with those posters who say that there are now only 2 or 3 games a season that can be called good compared to the 90's when the emphasis was more on attack. Today's Premier league with its emphasis on not losing is a dire over priced spectacle.

also, can you please stop the "If you can't do the Bouncy you're a Manc" song - it's just stupid

We're getting old!

I don't get the bouncy song at all.

Forgot to add earlier, the man Shittu should have played. He wouldn't have taken any messing last night and we wouldn't have needed 4 players attempting to win every bloody long thrown into the box. As mentioned in another post, the second goal came from leaving 3 players on the edge of box unmarked because all our defenders were trying to win the initial long ball.

Basics went out of the window last night.

Thats horseshit, he saved at least one maybe two certain one on ones by great tackles when Stoke were breaking from defence.

balls. he put us under more pressure last night than he helped stop attacks.

I didnt say he didnt but he did stop a few attacks which would of led to clear chances on goal which is more than anybody can say for Mccann who did nothing at all.

i think the only way forward is to change the midfield for the fulham game and drop mccann and muamba and bring in ....................... riga and cohen .

Forgetten about Riga

How can you say you are not a fan of his and dont like the way he manages but say you support him? He is a muppet and his tactics stink - I was there tonight and with performances like that I wont be wasting much more money - and there are some in the club who do not appreciate what the muppet is doing. I heard it directly but I am not going to drop the guy in it and lose his job so dont ask me to name names

I support the man because he is manager of BOLTON WANDERERS. I am sickas are others on here that SOME only post when we loose. One guy at the game last night i quote

"I would rather loose all our games til the end of the season and go down than have this clown as manager"

FFS!! 2 wins at home, 10th in the league. A set back at Stoke, who are good at home and its curtains.

I would love the club to change the manager. BUT AS WE ARE HERE WITH HIM AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME I WILL NOT BE GETTING ON HIS BACK AND SLAGGIN HIM OFF. THE PLAYERS NEED OUR SUPPORT RATHER THAN DIRECTING NEGATIVES AT THE SIDELINES....

If some put in the passion towards the players, as they do slagging off Megson..................................!!!

We're mediocre and there is a lot of it about.

Looking at the remaining fixtures I can see 10-11 points being more than achievable and we'll be coasting with about 3 games to go.

so are we shit again or not?

Errr let me think about that ................... NO

A point last night would have moved use away from the team below but seeing that only Blackburn out of the bottom 3 managed to pick up a point, the status quo remains and one less game to play.

There are a few more teams in a bigger bag off shit then we are , Boro, Portsmouth and Newcastle to name 3 (I've not added WBA because I think they are down)

Dannyc2, are you the same c?nt who stood behind me last night, right at the back? Giving me a big f?ck off shower of spit for 90 mins because you couldn't stop spouting shite at Megson or the players? His vocabulary consisted only of "Your shite Bolton! Megson your a wanker! (insert players name) your shite," as soon as they got on the ball dispite not doing anything wrong? The comment that did it for me was "Elmander your f?cking shite, you should of scored!" Baring in mind this came after that fantastic volley in the last few minutes, it sums him up nicely.

There's far to many clueless twăts at this club. It's not us who are the blind ones, the ones who constructively criticise when it is necessary, but generally see that all we can hope for is a slow improvement from what he had and this is what we are getting. The blind ones are the men who constantly spout shite, with nothing to back them up, no reasons for why we are shite or what we need to do to improve, just pointless negative rants. We're 11th ffs, with imo, very little chance of getting relegated looking at the run in. What else do you want? Yes we were shite last night, but these things happen, we were on a little run of wins and I believe that we will do so again before the season finishes, to give us a comfortable mid-table finish. That would be a massive improvement on last year and then hopefully we can buy again in the summer to improve that a little bit more.

Rant over, that feels better.

fcuk me

wait til west brom beat us

highly predictable that one but it shouldn't matter.

more than enough points should be creamed from the remaining home games.

Colin Todd team played nice football , check it up and see what happend there

One of the biggest misconceptions in football. How can playing good, attractive football be directly linked with bringing poor results? If these players are coached to play good football, and not just lump it, the results would come. Do we think these players got to the level they are by simply being athletes or are they good players who are just sh1t scared of making mistakes. Percentage football is killing the game.

I don't think anyone is saying that there is a direct link

But

There's certainly not the opposite as you appear to infer

the best, most skilful players are at the best/richest clubs

and if they aren't there now, they soon will be

so, our players can't beat the opposition for skill

my thoughts, anyway

Well fuck me it most have been my misconception that we went down under Todd playing nice football, nd we would have gone down under Sammy Lee trying to play nice football.

I also hear that WBA play nice football, lets see what happends to them, West ham played nice football the year they went down etc etc , nice football does not get you points, putting the ball in the onion bag does and that does matter if it takes you 300 passes to do it or 1 you still only get 1 goal
